That's also why they got their nondoctrinal Obersoldaten, King Tiger, starting shock infantry/engineer unit. I'm not gonna lie it's cool but I think it's pretty lame Brits continually and endlessly get nerfs every patch. The Bofors was not a problem, it was just annoying for OKW and OST Heer players because they had to actually invest in indirect fire units or they had to acrually be creative but I gueas we can't have that. The nerfs to the Bofors are heavy-handed and tantamount to soft removal, but it's no real loss. Serious UKF play either uses the AEC or skips straight to T2. What the Bofors nerf achieves is killing off an incredibly unpleasant off-meta strategy without harming UKF's competitiveness. It'll still be a functional unit for compstompers, but it should hopefully exterminate SimCity in automatch. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: The State of Conscript Assault Package in the current game.7 Sep 2019, 11:07 AM To be fair, Section Assault Package needs T1, putting it more around CP1 than CP0. I'm not really sure what makes Conscripts so powerful that they have have to be loaded down with shackle after shackle. Their abilities are locked behind side tech. Their upgrade is locked behind T4. Their doctrine weapon upgrades are timed like elite infantry. What's so good about this squad that it needs to be weighed down so hard? In: COH2 Balance

Superior gun - which cannot normally penetrate the panther, especially when there is a vet 1. The Easy Eight has a 60% to 77% chance to penetrate a Panther's frontal armour. It the Penal that need to looked at and not conscripts especially if OKW start get toned down. You could lock Penal troops's stuff behind the sidetech, but then the sidetechs would become automatic purchases. And if the sidetechs are automatic purchases, there's not really any point in having them. Just factor them into the teching cost instead. USF and UKF pulled off sidetech acceptably. Soviet's sidetech has been a train wreck from the start. In: COH2 Balance
