What if we make jacksons even more expensive and effective against infanrty.
Imagine like, 1000MP and 500Fu. That would be a fair price, dont you think?
Lmao.
USF has no other baseline TD to use, specially against heavier tanks, back when the Jackson was 480 HP people always used the Pershing to have something that didn't die the moment you made any mistake.
If you mess up the Jackson like it was before, USF will fade further into obscurity outside of 1s again, let a Tank Destroyer be able to do their one job. (Destroy Tanks)
@OP I just see a 5 second clip of a p4 missing a shot and a jackson hitting one. Not that I don't think the jackson doesn't need some kind of tune down or price change, but as far as that specific situation went, glide shots were not used, therefore more RNG.
It's cool, I do think the Jackson needs to be more expensive, if it's going to remain this good against anything that isn't Infantry.
First, there is no difference in speed going forward or backwards in this game, for either side. (Axis or Allies)
Second without HVAP, it has the same damage as your OKW PZ4, which just happened to miss the kill shot (Bad RNG can happen to anyone at anytime)
Third, nice Infantry perservation, Jackass.
Now THAT is poor logic. Sturmtiger can OHK a howitzer why can't it OHK a mortar pit? Teller can OHK a light tank, why can't it OHK a heavy tank?
Certain abilities are designed for certain things. Is there a reason that landing paras behind an undefended howitzer shouldn't be a counter? If not this than what exactly IS the purpose of the ability? What other use is a timed demo charge? Bunkers? Assuming you can land unmolested and plant you might as well just bring up the fastest firing AT gun and save over 100mp and a not insignificant number of munitions.
Imagine the tantrum if Paratroopers could punish static structures while being good at killing infantry? USF is already so strong at the moment, didn't you see the Elite Tournament? They dominated the Axis.
It's just for show, really.
It's fun and it looks cool, until you realize you can't even one shot team weapons with it, for 45 munitions.
Not only that but the 57mm has to pay a muni cost for it to even be effective against axis mediums. There are about 4 - 5 users on this forum that truly believe in their core that USF ATG and .50cal is OP.
Not to mention I firmly believe nowadays no USF LV is really that powerful compared to OKW's Mechanized Truck, but I guess not being able to instantly click them dead, makes them OP too.
And so many people said this Commander was going to be garbage.
Gotta toast in UA's name with this mug of salty tears, he might be an ugly mofo, but his Company gets the job done.
That said, I'm not sure how could it be nerfed, USF no longer feels gimped in 2s thanks to this Commander, you can punish most cheese that people often employ vs USF... From MG spam to Pak Walls and all those shitty things you can do in the campy 2vs2 maps.
That’s kinda the point and theme of USF. Special units are Doctrinal only because the US Army was made up of “Citizen Soldiers” who were all very much trained the same way to be versatile and effective fighting generalists. The specialization that complicated the German military was not present except in very specific units such as Ranger Battalions and Airborne Divisions, which are represented in game by being doctrinal units.
Adding in special non doctrinal infantry units to USF defeats its theme of regular Joes going out to do battle with the Axis forces that have been specializing for years. These same GIs just need to be equipped for the fight and they are the equal of any SS or Wehrmacht soldier who had been enslaving Europe for years under the mantle of National Socialism.
Riflemen are symbolic of the American in WWII, the average GI Joe who would leave his home, clad in olive green uniform and shouldering his M1 Rifle, to liberate the oppressed people of Europe as just one of many citizen soldiers.
OP riflemen is over because OP doctrinal alternative openings have appeared, but that is not even the issue, riflemen can be OP as long as they want, but OP inf+snares and OP tank means no unit (excluding indirect fire) cant stand a chance.
