Heavy Tanks hoard the spotlight in this replay, me playing Airborne as always, featuring the rare sight of a IS2 vs a KT! |
I dunno if it's just RNG playing tricks against me but recently I've had games where zooks keep wrecking my luchs and pumas really quick, sometimes even P4s, they don't seem to be too bad
Bazookas will always penetrate light vehicles, but they struggle against Panzer IVs with skirts, specially at max range, with 2 you do 160, about the same as a Tank, if both hits land and penetrate, making using Bazookas in the late game vs actual Tanks very manpower intensive. |
Yeah, except that it can't magically turn 180 degree in an instant to fire at a flanking vehicle like an AT infantry squad
And its range is ridiculously short for a proper ATG
Well, it has it's own perks too, I know it's inconsistent but besides Paratroopers most Bazooka lack damage and penetration. |
The Raktenwerfer can retreat, so it's kinda like an AT Infantry Squad? |
1. Nein.
AssEngineers lack durability to scale into the lategame as a direct combat unit, they have one less model that costs more manpower to replace and lack any sort of RA bonuses to be able to keep charging into enemies to use the optimal range of their Grease Guns.
2. M10s are great, but will fail when pit against anything above a PZ4 in a direct fight, you need to use their agility and often numbers to flank and circle enemies to destroy them, losing one for an enemy PZ4 is always a good trade and what they excel at.
The Jackson is more of a long term investmen as if you can keep it alive it will scale well into the lategame and be able to even take down King Tigers.
3. In most games you rarely build caches, 1vs1 wise, in 2vs2 if often build 1 or 2, if there is spare Manpower, but I usually prefer munitions as the USF, for more BARs, Bazookas, Smoke, Grenades and P47s. |
Aren't I and R pathfinders 250? Also they cost as much as grens to reinforce, which is definitely justified
Correct, they costed 210 MP when they were 3 man without the Sniper model, I still prefer Airborne Pathfinders myself. |
They are the Scout Infantry US needs in long range maps, .50s, Jackson and Scotts love them, just be sure to always keep them behind more resilient squads and they will serve you well. |
Pathies are fine at CP1, Airborne Pathies are more combat capable due to having 2 Scoped M1 Garands.
ATG is locked behind CP4 just like the Airborne ATG drop, if you want Paratroopers just go Airbone, you can use Thompsons and (Elite) Bazookas with them.
Greyhound at 4 would be busted.
Recon Support is more than fine.

Not sure if troll bait or some serious Salt. |
Those little deep-flank roads on the sides make this one MUCH better than most of the MOBA 3 lane style 2vs2 Maps. |
