Thread: Completely New Member16 Nov 2016, 12:40 PM Most people look back at CoH1 with their love goggles of bias. The game was good but missed some functionalities which CoH2 provides. As for faction design, the vanilla CoH factions, USA and Wehrmacht, were better designed than the current mix of CoH2 factions. Vanilla CoH2 factions feel somewhat lackluster when it comes to options and utilities compared to the newer factions that were introduced later, such as USF, UKF and OKW. I prefer CoH1 for faction design, but prefer CoH2 for gameplay and functionalities. As for balance, well the fact that CoH1 from 2006 has better balance than CoH2 tells you all you need to know about that spectrum. Good luck chosing! In: New Members
Thread: Which 2v2 maps should be vettoed as Ostheer?16 Nov 2016, 12:36 PM Every urban/other map that doesn't favor longer range styles of engagement. This means 2/3 of the map pool. You have to make a concious dicision on which maps you hate the most and which maps out of these close engagement styles gives you the most problems when playin a specific faction. I have 8 gigs of ram since the game launched and after WFA release performance went down the drain. Bugsplats became more prominent and performance in general went down south. Also the RAM related issues are still there, even for people that have 16 gigs of ram. There is simply memory loss all over the place in the engine. In: Lobby
