Thread: Wehrmacht Infantry- whats the excuse now?29 Jun 2016, 08:20 AM People saying grens don't need early game buff. True that they don't. However, late game they need it. People are also saying that fully upgraded tommies, riflemen and penals should beat grens. True that they should. However, that is because they have the ABILITY to get more upgrades/better vet. Rifles can get: double LMGs/BARs, grenade package, and best veterancy in game for core inf. Tommies can get: double Brens, 5 man upgrade, aura-heal/sight range, a vet 1 extra sight. Penals themselves are amazing elite inf. with their great vveterancy, flamethrower(cover denial/flamer effect). Grens get: one LMG42 or 2 G42s, camouflage, and some shit vet 1 medkit ability. LOL. Thing is, no one flanks IS2. You get TDs versus it. Well unless you're into puma heavy strat, PzIVs not worth it to flank. And flanking with patnher means you're endangering your 190 fuel tank. With good panther frontal armor, you're better off slugging it out with IS2, with some PaK support if you feel RNG is not on your side. In: COH2 Balance

It wasn't a model killer (unless they were already low) and it was great to deal with MGs (due to it being a mortar) and the fact that the higher rof actually allows mortar smoke to work even more effective. +1 balance mod USF mortar was already good. lower range meant you had to be a bit more aggressive with the mortar. An aggressive mortar for an aggressive faction, yes?. And now that nade range has been nerfed, I feel like smokes are more or less in a good spot. In: COH2 Balance

T-70 is my go to mid game shock unit, and T-34/85 I get when I need some decent armor that can fight enemy armor effectively. Armor that does not melt instantly and be able to actually penetrate most shots. I found myself sometimes using it when enemy armor presence is lacking, as two 76s are better than a lone 85 at being aggressive. IMO all noticeable change I noticed from them was now they're worth getting whenever you see enemy heavies. They can actually do damage now, with the reduced rear armor of heavy tanks, in addition to blocking reverse path of heavies. Sure there's a good chance theyre gonna die but hell, I'd throw 80 fuel for dead 200+ fuel tanks anytime. In: Strategy Desk
