Stormjäger Granted you guys are right, the majority were actually proper soldier and transfers from other brackets like Luftwaffe and Krigsmarine, but I didn’t remember completely wrong as there were quite a few old men and teenagers recruited. Still, point taken. Also Vipper, grens might have been the benchmark by relic in th past, but haven’t we gone past that? Every other mainline, save for cons, significantly outperforms them. As for nerfing penals and guards, it would be criminal. The soviets would then be absolutely unplayable until a maxim/cons buff. As for the Volks nerf, no argument there. UKF and USF are seen as quasi unplayable in tournament settings. Soviets is seen as most competitive. Making all allied factions unplayable perfectly goes with Vipper's doctrine of nerf allies, buff axis. Kriegsmarine. Forgot an E. Some people believe Penals should be nerfed because "penal" for exact same reason some believe "volks" should be nerfed because "volks". Yea. a lot of children and old men in there. - I'd like uniforms to be swapped from Penals to Cons and from Cons to Penals. And Penals rebranded as Strelski. Give 'em mosins with a DP28 upgrade (and sandbags) In: COH2 Balance

If Penals, Guards, Shock Troops, Maxim and DSHK are removed entirely, then conscripts will find their spot. You only need to make them the only option. Same for tournaments - Soviet is seen as the most competitive, solution is to nerf them until they no longer are, then people will play UKF and USF again in tournaments. How about an upgrade that gives them +2 models, but removes half their guns? (4 mosins, 8 models). Also takes a weapon slot. Grens could then have +2 models and Volks gain +1 models and could have +1 (2) LMG and fire 2x rifle grenades and +1 (3) STG44, restoring balance. Joking aside, all this bitching will never go away until every faction is 6 man infantry, same stats, same abilities, same commanders, same units, but reskinned. T34/85, Sherman E8 being non-commander standard, with same cost and stats as Panther, etc (but same pop cost, too) That way, who can say it's not balanced? In: COH2 Balance

If you consider maxims vet1 ability a DPS increase could be better for sinergy pruposes. Cons needing a buff is something people have been saying quite a lot lately. If both were to happen, buff cons+maxims and nerf T70 a little, SU will get a lot of diversity in opening and midgame strats. I would consider M5 HT Quad buffs too A lot of people are demanding for Grenadier to be buffed to 5 man. This is the ideal opportunity to buff conscript and Maxims by 20%. Balance re-established. Then they demand for them to gain a 6th and an 8th man with veterancy. Then it's an opportunity for more allied infantry buffs. Otherwise, would larger than allied squads make sense? It's surprising, already, that OKW has 5-6 man squads as they represent Germany when they were at their most acute manpower shortage. In: COH2 Balance

If you buff conscripts and maxims their will be no need for a band aid anymore. Make conscripts into Penals. Buff Maxims to MG42. Remove T70. Replace with T34/76 (at 100 fuel) Make T34/76 also come out of T5 (at 90 fuel) This way, Penals, Maxim, Conscript, T70 and T34 problems are fixed. Oh, and make Grenadiers 5 man, but without LMG42 upgrade. COH2 fixed. In: COH2 Balance
