Fingers crossed, DoW3. Although I hope with a stable financial backing for DoW3 from SEGA they'll have a firmer execution process. I'm not here to hate on RELIC, they've made some of the best RTS games I've ever played. Understanding that THQ went under, a developer died, RELIC had a lot of people leave and then SEGA bought them. You can only imagine how much this can damage a product, I went through a merger and it wasn't pretty.. I can imagine the same thing happened over there.
My Canadian Brethren, I feel you. Just be more open and honest in your Q&A's and actually do a Q&A and not play double british for an hour straight. |
I feel like a lot of their answers point to the idea that RELIC is just trying to keep this game on life support until the next title releases. I'm not a doomsayer but that's the feeling I get when I watch them.
Especially when they say no to an simply animation. The Rifle AT nade has been bugged since launch, at least it would be nice to notice it if it was going to happen. Just copy any animation and throw it on, cause currently you just see a projectile flying out of a model which is shitty. |
@nigo
At no point did relic say anything about looking at Tier 4 in the stream I saw yesterday. Brad even said the T34/76 is fine where its at. Nobody brought up the Su85, or the Katyusha in what I saw.
The only thing that I have ever seen from their streams is that Penals may get buffed, and maxim will be nerffed.
Infact a lot of the answers players got from Brad and Kyle is basically L2P saying " Well low level players may have an issue with that mechanic " and then minutes later they said " Well we don't always take pro's opinions when balancing the game " and then also saying " We try and design the game for players of all levels to enjoy "
Could you be anymore contradicting ? Games either balanced or it's not.. stop hiding behind peoples skill levels and just straight up admit " Yea we got some problems, but we're working on them " |
If you continue to have issues, equip the USF grenade bulletins too, 7% x 3.. 21% nade throw range. I know the pain though, you set back your teching to throw nades, you set back equipping weapons to throw nades.. You just wish you had an easier way to crack them out of the buildings. Although if you manage to capture one, nothing is scarier than a USF player with a good MG... |
Run two squads simultaneously at the MG42, each one at the edge of the arc and one will get through because the MG42 can't swap targets fast enough. Or the play has to micro it himself which most dont. |
I think an MG should be a suppression platform, not a dps platform. Only when troops are starting to hit red should the mg start to really deal good dps to these soldiers.
Why each MG is good at suppressing vs damage is beyond me. The vicker is a great HMG, it may not suppress fast but each burst kills a man generally so its more like a mobile weapons team than a suppression platform.
Flanking already has its own bonuses, generally from the side or back the enemy wont be in cover. Most cover is directional therefore they do take more dps from opposing sides. |
I agree with what most of Barton says, but you can't nerf it all at once because that'd be a hard blow to the faction.
Infantry Sections are exceedingly strong as a 5 man squad with double brens. While in green cover they can kill an MG42 that is in a building, no suppression and without losing a model (and this is before the 5 man upgrade and double bren).
AEC should remain fairly strong, but it's timing is far too soon. Either jack the cost up to that of a Puma (70 fuel) or something because it's too cheap for its performance.
Tactical Support - this will be nerffed, but the free recon for 90 seconds is really long. Why not 15 seconds? its FREE after all.
Vicker HMG - those of you that say this MG is terrible must not play the game below a 4v4 capacity. This HMG can kill any MG. It has great dps, it's suppression is between the .50 cal USF and the MG42. But it will beat any MG in a building to building fight, or if you are in green cover firing into a building.. The Vickers is a great investment and a lot of brits will open up with it as their first unit and often make 2 to lock down the map early game vs OKW.
Don't forget at Vet1 the Vickers can kill snipers trying to snipe it because it has superior range and unless you're in cover 1 burst kills a sniper generally.
The Royal Engineer thing is getting really old, bracing and popping the heal to make emplacements invincible for such a long period of time. I don't agree with 400 manpower just going down the toilet because your opponent has made 2 mortars to counter you but there needs to be some middle ground. It should work like the OKW vehicle repair, the crew gets out to repair the structure and if they are taking heavy fire the pit is decrewed. I'm sure people can think of some sort of compensation, like lowering the effectiveness of the mortar pits while lowering their manpower cost... people even suggested making it 1 mortar per pit and a cost reduction.
Barton may of lost to hans, but I think everyone here would lose to hans so how is this a viable arguement?

The more people playing increases CoH2's chances for victory and people can play Custom or Automatch to have their gameplay count towards the event.
Kyle, are you aware of Attila using cheat mods to inflate artificial values though? :\ If they don't crack down on stuff like this, nobodies could to care about future SEGA/RELIC events. |
Sadly, Attila Total War is going to probably win because they are using mods to cheat and get to the top. Relic needs to know this :\

I just don't understand why people play things that arn't challenging. It's like beating up a bunch of 6 yr olds. Sure it's fun once you down the first few kids but eventually you'll be fired as a kindergarden teacher.
Then what? you can say you achieved top 3vs3 when the game was rigged? oh boy, be proud of that. |
