For myself I don't think this is legit and the wrong way to convince Relic to change the WS-system... Just my two cents

and relic is not abusive and scamming? they advertised something in store and made people to buy X commander and now in a patch they have removed most of commander abilities and replaced them with random stuff? the only and only commander i was playing as Wehrmacht was close air support and now it is totally a useless commander, elite troops now has stormtroops while i paid paid for the doctrine which gives u stormtroops just to have those units, if i knew a commander i already had would get that ability in a patch i wouldn't pay for it. this game is a pay to win scam deny it cause you are a fanboy and nothing more. this game never will be a competitive game and anyone who is winning in tournament is just a noob who has paid for his win. pay to win does not mean once u pay there is a button u press and u win, if u pay for something which gives u advantage in certain situations this is pay to win.

counter strike is competitive because you do not pay real money for your guns and it has no game changing DLC, look at this stupid garbage coh2 and its stupid community who support it blindly the price of DLCs are higher than the normal game and all DLCs are super game changing. they stopped giving you coop DLCs because they tried multiplayer DLC commanders and it worked out really well because of casuals enjoyed to pay and win.

i removed this game after PTRS patch which was anti everything rifle, 2 days ago a friend of mine gifted me brits DLC for free kept asking me to give it another try it is better than the past, and not a week has passed since i installed this game, a patch has arrived which has changed almost every ability of every commander which they advertised and sold for real money also they added two more pay to win DLCs again.

as the title says it is true they do care so much about coh1 because it is the number 1 threat to COH2, if this game gets out of its steam edition bugs without doubt coh2 goes down so fast.

i play coh1 time to time like once or twice in a month but not because i dont have that much time to play, because game is completely unplayable for me after battle server migration. i am not saying i have the best internet but since when in a competitive game like RTS games if lag happens it only happens to you and game goes on for your enemy without issues. every bloody time i play i have 10-20 seconds freezes but game goes on for my enemy while i am froze then suddenly game resumes but i see everything in 16x speed and what do i see? all my units being killed and raped and the noob winning the game typing me "L2P NOOB HAHA I OWNED YOU CUM BACK"! in the past before this migration there was really really tiny lags and freezes under 1 second for both sides and game was still playable but now they have imported a first person shooter game like netcode for an RTS.

Ranking system is broken + leaderboards are messed up + netcode is a joke (GOD) + 2v2 AT Is dead + %90 of players are people who are starting up the game for first time in their life in team matches and so many other stupid stuff....

people say you have to be thankful to relic that they kept the game alive after the main server shut down, but in fact i think the opposite it was better if they had let it die just like all C&C titles after gamespy server shutdown. you know why? because those games actually didn't die they got revived for C&C 3 + Battlefield 2 + Red alert 3 + zero hour and many other C&C titles the community created a 3rd party software called CNConline (For BF2 it is called Bf2Hub) and not only without any patch or mod the game works online without issues but they also added anti cheat softwares to it too. you dont need "LAN" option to play those games they exactly work like before nothing has changed you go to online ranked you play ranked vs others you gain and lose rank and everything is exactly same as it used to be before.

but for coh1.... sorry relic made a pay2win game named coh2 they need to sell all those DLC commanders and armies and mini skirmish missions because they need the money for their job, days and nights working on "paid skins" deserves money more than every other thing which was done for COH1. and before you fan boys start to flame me and say coh2 is not pay to win or whatever let me tell u pay 2 win does not mean when you buy a commander there is a "win" icon appearing on top of screen and when you press it game ends. if you are not stupid you know what it is, any game changing unit + item + bulletin which comes with real money is paid to win. for example X DLC commander is alot easier to play with versus USA than Y DLC commander vs US < this is what pay 2 win means the commander doesnt need to be OP it only has to give you easier time in certain situation.

a true competitive game has NO unlocks NO dlc NO paid game changing item or DLC just like counter strike or Dota 2 and the original COH1 or other games like those. conditions should be same for ALL players and what decides the battle result is skill and micro not unlock progress or game changing create drop (srsly wtf relic) or paid DLCs.
