I thought the stun grenade bugs were fixed. I guess not. |
The officer is not used competitively. |
Lol, that Mad Max grenade lancer is hilarious! It's sad that this is an April fool's joke though. If they're not going to make a faction, then at least a Desert Fox commander with PIII, Flak 88 would be nice =( |
Manual reload would be great on a lot of units across the board. |
Also being able to pop out of a building that was just occupied by the enemy the instant they get out using the same door and melting them is stupid. Really, it's fine as a mechanic. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't "make sense" in this game, but spawning out of a neutral house is thematically fine for special forces. |
The range and reload buffs are batshit op. High requirements are no argument for OP abilities/units. By that logic we could simply raise the prize of the KingTiger to 500 fuel and give it 100 range (with sight), 480 dmg, 500 pen and the AoE of an ML-20. I don't think logic means what you are implying it does.... |
Command Panther feels thematically similar to the Tiger Ace. I like the design and impact it brings, but I feel like people don't treat it with the same respect and urgency that they would an ISU, or Jagdtiger, and that's why they they get upset by it. Would you send a single Firefly after a Tiger? Then don't do the same to a Command Panther.
It actually performs a role much more similar to the previously mentioned heavy TD's (hard vehicle counter) due to its 'mark target' ability. It's not a squad wipe machine though, like a Tiger, Pershing, IS2, or Crocodile and compared to other heavy tanks, it's more fragile (though very nimble so micro can make it very survivable). A perfect blitzkreig tank really....
But if it's it going to have the impact of a heavy tank call in, maybe its CP should be raised a bit to reflect that.

If the damage was removed, then they should probably cost 0 munitions, but have a longer cool down to avoid spamming. It would be sad if the Soviets lost them completely though, as it's an interesting quirk for that army. |
What's stupid about special forces coming out of infiltrated positions?
On topic, flare mines are used in ESL, and quite often too. Mine doorways with them to wipe whole squads exiting buildings, or to take out a man on German troops entering buildings. Plus it reveals everything around the building too. |
Definitely not a fan of auto fire, but also not sure if a map wide suppression system is that great either. Would it make a difference to a player's choice if rocket arty cost munitions to reload while howitzers remained free as they are now?
Maybe rocket arty must be stationary/vulnerable to reload similar to the sturmtiger? I think we're all addicted to rocket arty because it's just so good with no drawback once you get it on the field. |
