Can't believe some people are so gullible that they are answering this sincerely EVEN after it's been derided as an April Fools joke. |
I guess it's fitting that they gave the game cancer (in the form of a commander) before it dies. |
I believe it was momo4sho123 who said he had spoken to Brad directly, as they are friends, who basically insinuated that the game was R.I.P. This is where a lot of the heat has come from surrounding these rumours and why you can't just make them disappear even though Kyle requested the last thread be closed. |
Unfortunately the layoff rumours thread turned to a spewing volcano of vitriol. FichtenMoped ended up locking it after Kyle gave an official response (probably because of the nasty vibes from the CoHmmunity).
However I found the content of Kyle's post a little ambiguous. His response to the rumours that a few devs had been sent packing, was this:-
"There have been some rumors of late that the CoH2 team would like to address. Although there has indeed been some recent changes to the team, rest assured these changes have had no impact on the current plans for CoH2."
But Kyle, what were the current plans for CoH2? What if they were to bring it to a halt from here? This is not a reassuring response. You are being circuitous with your language in a way that makes me and perhaps others suspicious.
I would have asked for further clarification in the thread that was already there, as mos eisley canteena-like as it was, but it got closed. So please Kyle can you tell us what these plans are?
Is there any further info you can provide about these events, as our community manager? |
First I heard about this was momo4sho123 in a shadowwada twitch chat saying that he had spoken directly with brad and that brad basically said the game was rip. He went on at length about cuddle also being laid off and kyle staying on. Seemed a bit too elaborate to make all that shit up just to troll people, especially if you are an esl caster such as he is. |
Flak ht serves its purpose quite well I think. It allows you to pick battlegroup first (for medic) and gives you a tool to murder rifles who haven't yet enough munitions to prevent it. It bides your time till you can either go schwerer or choose scavenge and get an ostwind which to be honest is more durable than a luchs vs usf. Trick is to A-move it so it sets up on the move. |
Relic should fix this Scoped Enfield preference for at least one of the Brens, but with regards going up against elite doctrinal infantry in open cover...why should IS win when Relic specifically gave them debuffs when fighting in open cover? (As part of their design as defensive specialists) So even if jaegers win against IS in open cover, this is more about the weaknesses of IS than it is about strengths of the JLI or OKW. You'd see similar issues with storms vs single brenned IS in open cover.... As you should. If you don't like that facet of their design, just play as USF and surrender all the defensive toys, bofors and such.u |

skip to 7:26. The JlI solo a double bren tommies when both units are out of cover. Considering the difference in investment between the two units, it's a pretty big advantages to the OKW.
If you read the full post this video comes from you'd know that for that part of the video the IS did not have 2 Brens. It was a mistake Sirlami has already apprehended. |
Yeah, too soon to say anything meaningful. Aside form the fact that you are using only one data point (full day) you are also not allowing anytime for meta adjustments. Nor any time at all for people to know what works and what doesn't. There is a lot of experimentation going on and so a lot of thrown games at the moment. |
The video only shows unreal fighting, no one will wait for the other sqaud to be in green cover before shooting, the facts is that you need to add the time where the squad isn't in cover too, i didn't play the patch but it's not showcasing vids that we need, it's IG replay where situation are realistic
Right, it's not perfect, but it's scientific and at least demonstrates raw performance while taking away chaotic variables. Also perhaps you didn't watch long enough when the video tests in green yellow and no cover? (The no cover was not accurate however as sirlami forgot to add second bren, so he said). |
