There is one thing that I dont often see mentioned: IS take eternity to vet up. U can have them in combat for 5 mins nonstop and theyll still hardly reach vet1 the cromewell has more pen than p4 so how is the gun bad ?

Penetration. It's got a similar gun to the Firefly.
The Firefly is a long range tank with a very slow fire rate. If it's not leveraging its range, it'll lose to a standard medium.
The Panther's fast, has good penetration and bonus health, but awful AI. It can't snipe, but doesn't lose to enemy tanks if a brawl happens. A Panther-like Comet would have the same.

1 it's one of the most powerful upgrade there is, it does not increase cost of the unit, u don't pay munitions on each squad (like weapons) and reinforce cost stays the same
2 no at nades are good on RE if u want at nades on IS just pick the tank hunter doc
3 gamon bomb can be used by every IS, penal have to buy the upgrade each time
4 the MG does it's job, the main canon is AT only
5 cromwell is fine for his price, it has more pen than p4 and is super fast |
You'd have to drop the AI to Panther levels, yes. If it's got solid AI and solid AT with a little below Panther durability, it's a Pershing.
As for overlapping with the Firefly, I don't think it does. The Firefly is a very slow firing, fragile sniper tank. Snares have done a lot for it, but it's nevertheless a sniper which'll lose to a medium tank at close range. Even the Cromwell is better off in a brawl.
A Panther Comet could coexist with the Firefly in the same way the JP4 and Panther coexist. If anything, the Panther is favored over the JP4.

I don't think that's true, hovering over it lists it as having an AOE of 8.4, so I have no idea how that is calculated. I think I'll stick to the listed numbers below.

Im getting my stats from coh2db.com/stats.
There it lists p4 having 2.5 AOE with 6.5 scatter angle and the e8 has 2.0 AOE with 5 scatter angle. Where are you getting your info?
For the record I was looking at OKWs p4. OST p4 has a 2.5 AOE and 7.5 scatter.

Put E8 vs p4 vs a tank with any semblance of armour.
Furthermore p4 has 2.5 AOE with 6.5 scatter and e8 has 2 AOE with 5 scatter. Stop using "alternative facts" when saying E8 has bad AOE.
