I'm not sure what UKF's problems in general have to do with changing Brace. If anything, being able to use a mortar pit without surrounding it with trenches and Bofors would help with that rather than hurt.

My point is that anything that's static and you have poured resources in it becomes a liability in that you have to babysit it and later on if and when the fighting is out of it's range especially on bigger maps or in team games it just becomes useless and you have no way of remove it effectively unless you pour even more resources and time in it.

A far better solution would be to have emplacements be something entirely option to the player and not being forced into making and then babysitting them just because of some stupid sense of asymmetrical design for each Army in order to make it "feel unique". They can be made unique by different means.

So it's fine by me whatever they do with brace, just don't force me to build the shit if I want smoke or indirect fire support which does not require a doctrine, fuel or my Sniper/Infantry throw some stupid flare in suicide range and then wait for the base howitzers to move their fat asses into position and fire on the target.

Plus every other Army has access to smoke on demand, why are the Brits lacking that exactly? Nobody seems to have the answer besides the complete and utter stupidity which is "Because it needs to be asymmetrical" which I already think I've given enough example why it's not effective and is not working.

The problem with UKF is that they are still OP in early to mid-game against OKW on open maps while being complete shit against Ost. So how are you going to "balance" the faction? One of the few things that could be done is to give them a few more doctrines with early USF mortars so they can easier counter MGs.

Edit: I forgot to mention that J-Light spam completly reks UKF and there is very little that can be done against it because J-Lights counter sniper MG and infantry sections. Thank god the nerf for J-Lights is coming so this wont go on forever.

If they add a new commander with a mortar that'll make 2 for the Brits, I don't think it'll be enough to fix them however.

For example, the OKW also had the Luftwaffe and Fortifications doctrines which gave them their MG34, right? And also Elite Armor with the Panzer IVs, and they ended up giving both of these units to the OKW by default because they were lacking and most people were not bothering with other commanders because then they'd be lacking a critical tool in their arsenal.

As a patriotic Brit myself, the British forces in CoH 2 are nothing but utter cancer . It's just a broken faction that would be best removed.

I thought patriotism was about loving your country no matter what, and I see none of that here.

So instead of trying to fix something that's representing your country, fighting for it, you'd rather just remove it because... it's easier. That ain't patriotism lad, I can tell you that much.

It also doesn't make sense for the Ostheer to have Vulksturm either if we're being technical here. Those are just Civilians with Wehrmacht arm bands fighting in Berlin, not really anywhere else.

That's a good idea. I would prefer to make new infantry as much diffrent as it possible to current Infantry Section. Commandos voices could work too or maybe there is something else in gamefiles?

What do you think about other abilities?

I am not sure if possible but perhaps it'd be best for a combination of both the voice packs for the Sniper and the Commandos.

As for the abilities, yeah they look like a pretty good and versatile squad that could be used both on the offense and defense, might be a problem for balance tho, not sure.

Edit: Seeing Vipper talking about the Polish and Black RE voices, there was a Polish Airborne division during Operation Market Garden, so maybe Polish commandos for the Brits? And I think I saw an RE focused commander for the USF suggestion, maybe they can use the voices for a more combat specialized RE squad? Idk.
