I've been matched with him several times over the years and I'm simply facinated!

He has played 1v1 as wehrmacht more than 18.000 times!! And each time without exception he uses the same strategy.

He always goes mechanized assault and tries for an early base pin. If he is sucessfull he will dig down with a command bunker and try to focus mgs to all sides.

If that fails he will try to get a 222 rush or a couple of early 251 which he will then drive straight into your base and try to wipe it.

Failing that he will try to lock down all ressources with light vehicles until he has the fuel and CP for spamming the Stug E.

If that also fails the jig is up and he will just gg the hell out of there.

I'm not kidding! This guy never techs futher than Battle phase 1 and only builds the leichter mechanized.

The only slight variation in his strategy (if you can even call it that) is that he will frequently change around his bullitins, doctrines other than mechanized and his name, which has I've seen as Picknicker, Antonino, Wehr Superstar and several others.

Just imagine the dedication of playing the same strategy, with the same doctrine and the same faction literally dozens of times every single day, since the day was released.

I don't really play 4v4 anymore, but I can tell you that sniper makes little sense in anything outside 1v1 and 2v2 because the accumulated pop cap of each team is too high for it to be significant.

For larger team games you want loads of AoE damage. Mortars, atillery strikes, flame weapons and anything else that goes big boom is what wins you the game as well as which ever team does the best blobbing and preserve their heavy tanks.

I don't mean to sound condesending with this. large team games can be tons of fun, especially when playing with friends, but at the end of the day it is the heaviest booms and largest amount of warm bodies that win the game rather than the one with the most clever skirmishes or light vehicle handling.

I would say no, 1 squad of Shock can kill 2 squad of MP-40 volks and get away with 2 models remaining (It was a shitty unscientific test where I spawned the two volks on top of the shock. If you have to close in I reckon the shocks will kill even more before you get into range).

Well I probably wouldn't pick the doctrine for the mp40 upgrade (except maybe for one unit for the utility and wiping weaker units and stuff on retreat).

I was thinkting more about the rest of the doctrine like the hetzer, incendiary isg rounds and flamer for Sturmpios.
