They spawn with 4 sten guns and you can upgrade to 2 thompsons. 0.8 received accuracy out of cover. I would also replace their mills grenade with the commando smoke grenade, so they have smoke and phosph nade. Both get unlocked with the mills package. The current assault package from lend-lease doc just sucks Not only is it the best idea, it's also the only one that is somewhat realistic. At this stage it's not like they are going to implement a colonial squad or welsh division that would require new unit design and voice lines. But making a different variation of an existing squad like 0 CP assault sections would not be completely outside the realm of possibility. In: UKF Strategies

Thread: Underdog 43 minute match vs top players.11 Sep 2019, 20:43 PM I pretty much never play 2v2 and it was my third game together with a guy I just met when we faced CrossFire and buddy. Expecting to get crushed we actually managed to hold out for a long match which was back and fourth until almost the very end. Quite a fun experience. In: Replays

They'd have AT rifles. It'a still quite an above average doctrine though. More often than not none of them get an LMG, so you're stuck with two lackluster squads that struggle hard against vetted or elite infantry and won't help you much against the (coming) light vehicles, considering their 3 CP arrival. Hmm didn't know the lmg was still RNG based. I thought I read somewhere that you got one with and one without. I still think it's quite an adequate ability tough, but they should probably reduce the price to 400 or perhaps even 380 manpower. In: COH2 Balance

Relief Infantry is decent-ish, but comes so late Osttruppen will be 100% useless in combat. Oh I highly disagree with that! Deployment of two osttruppen where one has an lmg is quite a decent addition if you suffered some early wipes and they do a good enough job for capping, crewing lost team weapons and holding down defensive positions. By no means a useless ability. With relief infantry however, you have to be extremely lucky or well timed to get even a single osttruppen squad in the ridicilously short timespan, without suffering a wipe in return. On top of that you often have to pretty much throw your squads into a grinder to suffer losses, which is a horrible approach for units with a base reinforcement cost of 30 manpower. In: COH2 Balance

Or just Osttruppen Reserves. Yeah It was pretty retarded that they double slapped the osttruppen reserve with a double nerf, by both shortening the time of the ability and increasing the requirement of losses for a new unit. Thread: The thing that Brits really need, but will never get.23 Aug 2019, 10:02 AM All balance aside, the biggest downside of the UKF in my opnion, is how linear and predictable they are to play with and against. Linear teching aside I think their greatest downfall in this department, is that they have literally no opening game alternative to infantry sections. They are the only faction who does not have neither t0 or instantly buildable doctrinal infantry, nor non-doctrinal infantry alternatives, which means that 2-5 squads of Sections is almost guaranteed every single match. This makes it literally impossible to throw any real curve balls in the opening game other than some flavor from a UC or Vickers. In retrospect, I think the UK could have benefited a lot from an alternative opening infantry unit back when they were being developed. In: UKF Strategies
