I see they completely missed the point on Royal Artillery and decided to nerf it into the ground. Typical. They accidentally removed fog of war fire before and it rendered the commander unusable.
The whole point of the ability was to allow the 25 pdrs to fire like every other fixed howitzer in the game, except with a hefty munitions cost piled on top. The accuracy was probably too high with anvil, but even then the ability was next to useless beyond maybe hitting a few trucks without anvil.
Why would anyone bother to use it when a tommy squad can do the job better after all? |
Honestly, I wouldn't mind that at all. As it is the vet 2 is incredibly misleading and the sort of thing that should be fixed where possible. |
So the land mattress vet 2 does absolutely nothing. Totally fair that.
E: Seriously though, no matter what the balance is on a unit you can't justify having vet 2 do absolutely nothing. |

OKW are far from weak. They're near single handedly killing 2v2 they're in such a strong position right now. The last coh2chart data had the top 100 or so OKW players on about an 80% win rate in 2v2. |
Axis bunkers are also self spotting (and then some) when upgraded.
The axis commanders with trenches also come with 210 mp ostruppen to keep the trench occupied.
UKF trenches are designed the way they are so that the brit player isn't dependent on the map to use the vickers vet 1 bonus (same with sandbags for tommies). If it was open to all the brits would not have the squads to keep them occupied and would be screwed the second the enemy got into one since they lack reliable garrison clearing tools (where's our tech free flame nade?). In essence building one would work against you nearly every time. |
OKW are basically killing team games single handed. They've been gifted way too many advantages through their redesigns and it's about time some of them were taken off them. |
That's a standard mechanic. Infiltration units will spawn from off map if you click on a garrisoned building. It prevents, for example, cost free scouting of garrisoned buildings in the fog of war. |
