I like how you took the time to fix the typo in the Stuart's patch notes, while the official post still has a typo in it.
STRONK VEHICLE HUTNER |
I've mostly played Ost, some OKW as well.
I do recall that early Ost was a uphill struggle, but if you manage to stall your oponent, you were rewarded with superior late game power.
Is this still valid?
Yes, with both Axis factions it's still valid. |
I suggest reading up the changelogs from the moment you stopped playing to this moment. A lot has changed between all factions and arguably right now the factions are pretty balanced with one another (There's still some issues that need to be resolved with BOTH sides). |
Good job OP (And subsequent people using the weekly charts as proof) for failing to take into account the skewer that USF combined arms may have caused to the win rates of axis factions.
More time is needed to really see the impact of the patch on the game. |
Soviet T34-76 Decent to good AI capabilties, struggles vs most medium armor it faces 80 fuel
UKF Cromwell Perfect AI capabilities, effective vs all Axis medium armor it faces 110 fuel
Hahaha, so cromwell is the better AI tank? Is this opinion based on all the crushing it can achieve? Because the T-34/76 is the better AI tank. |
The idea of the hotfix on the 23rd was to address immediate issues with obvious bugs, another patch should be expected in a few weeks to further tweak the new balance once there's been enough time to play it thoroughly. |
Because people blobbed them, massive blobs ofc would have high combined AI. duhh
So make 2-3 squads of volks to go with your other infantry on earlygame? they ARE your core infantry after all. |
And How do you expect volks to take on better allied infantry without investing in STG's? For any OKW player STG's is a must
Didn't seem to bother OKW players before, when they had no STG upgrade and the meta was to LOWER their AI capabilities further by upgrading a shreck. |
Am I the only one wondering why OKW merits to have a 5-star LeFH (which will be better than the OST equivalent that costs exactly the same), to begin with?
- No teching costs involved to unlock LeFH
- No price difference (hey, at least for P4 and P5, increased fuel price acts as a bottleneck)
- The fact that OKW is a fuel-bottlenecked faction, not an MP-bottleneck faction (and LeFH costs only manpower)
- The fact that OKW has looser constraints with respect to popcap than OST.
Don't get me wrong:
- Give 5-vet to OKW LeFH
- Just make sure that the 3-vet OST LeFH is better in some areas than the 5-vet OKW LeFH and worse in some other areas
- .. because those two units cost exactly the same!
- (you are allowed to change Veterancy thresholds so that OKW achieves 5-star LeFH at the same time OST would achieve a 3-star LeFH)
In short; don't make one better than the other. Make them different!
