So, basically what happens is that when I select a new unit, they one I had selected previously does not go unselected, meaning I now have both units selected. This does stack, so you can end up unwantingly selecting way more than just two units.
At the same time, the escape button stops to work, meaning you have to click on the UI button in bottom left to bring up the main menu
Pausing the game, goin to desktop, then comin back does fix this. That way you get a couple minute before having to repeat the process.
Only ran into this in the African SP alpha, it didnt happen to me in either of the two previous trials.
No idea what causes it, I am playing in 1440pp instead of the recommended 1080, but that probably wont be it |
The cloak? No. Strong, but not OP
The ability to toss a gammon right out of cloak? Yeah, thats kinda busted
If an MG or AT crew is clumped it is a 100% guaranteed decrew even if the opponent clicks retreat the exact moment the nade is tossed

Wipe because someone didnt someone forgot the units is one of the very few acceptable instances of a squad getting wiped |

Myself, I´d love to see some Capture the Flag shit (CoH2 has a mod for that) and the stuff from AA campaign
However, it will certainly never take off as much as VPs, because it would be impossible to balance and pace properly |
I mostly like this, it would be worth a testout in some mods or beta (for CoH3 I mean, no chance of coh2 gettin such a huge change)
That bein said, I wonder if it wouldnt impact (read: garden up) pacing
For example now if someone sees two lone infantry squads behind green cover and has 4 of theirs nearby, they just put all 4 together, charge the enemy and force a retreat
With this on, theyd have to draw fire with one or two and flank with rest, or just duke it out cover to cover
Which is kinda the point, but we need to see what such a thing would do pacing of the matches and if it wouldnt lead to basepinning, mapcontrol snowballing, etc.
A nobrainer though, would be making all MGs able do their job reliabily and not get hardcountered by double LMG infantry |
