Like seriously, who's going to go another commander than Pershing? Even if all the other abilities are bad?
They should make a stock unit out of it (like KT) OR spread it out over a lot of commanders to avoid such thing. Like seriously, who's going to take a Soviet commander without the IS2? |
Ostheer mortar and Soviet mortar are both awful now. Why couldn't they just buff Soviet mortar, why do they find the idea of good artillery to be so awful? |
I don't why people in here seem to be assuming that calling for an AVRE nerf = Sturmtiger defense.
The Sturmtiger is hilarious, but it is also totally broken and shouldn't even be in the game. Neither should the AVRE. Quibbling about individual stats aside, both these units share an ability to pop around a corner, relatively quickly take aim, and erase large chunks of an opponents army.
This is BS. For BOTH of them. |
Pershing should be nondoctrinal. Still great to see it.
M5 nerf- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO actually they could've nerfed it a lot more, it'll still shred infantry. Glad it'll still be a great unit.
Ostheer mortar nerf- dammit Relic, the answer to the Soviet mortar sucking donkey balls was not to make the Ostheer one suck as well! It was fine, there was no need for that. WHY?!
Everything else is great. Riflemen and Conscript survivability buff is just... wow... That alone makes this patch great. |
The problem with calling them OP is that they're just wildly inconsistent. They're not OP overall, but they are overall very poorly balanced, with a mish mash combination of OP and UP stuff. Against OH they are very UP if they go snipers. This. The British have pretty much nothing that's well balanced- either it's insanely OP, or it's mediocre weaksauce that drains manpower to an absurd extent. |
Commandos are absurd on that new close quarters rubble city map(forgot what its called)
Literally unstoppable on the right side rubble. NOTHING can compete with them. And if you look away for a second, hell even if you dont look away, your squad will be erased SilentHunter ChrisKyle Silencer with a Red DOT Call of duty 4: SOCOM:US Navy SEALS style.
Its cool to fight against, and cool for the player using them, btu they are over the top,its not even funny. 170 ish DPS apparently? Gelsenkirchen.
I find that an Ostwind tends to work wonders.
Granted, that's assuming that your opponent lets you get one... |
Um, I see no difference. And in any case, there's far, far more important issues for Relic to focus on.
Like making infantry sections not bleed manpower like a stuck pig, making mortar emplacements not require a P4 to kill, and making Churchills killable at all. |
I honestly don't think the AVRE is that bad, and it doesn't have as much health as OP was talking about. People are overreacting a bit to this. The AVRE operates just like the sturmtiger. Same AOE, same dmg, however AVRE has a rotating turret but a bit shorter range and automatic reload, I would just say make the reload longer or decrease the AOE, not nerf it into oblivion.
"Operates just like the Sturmtiger"
With all due respect, that's the problem. The Sturmtiger is also a hilariously broken unit, and introducing a second one into the game doesn't make things any better. Especially when this one has a much quicker reload, isn't vulnerable like the ST when reloading, gets a faster reload at Vet 1, faster aiming at Vet 2, and becomes impossible to faust and cripple at Vet 3. |
I haven't played any pvp as Brits yet, but I lost a very close match to another player this morning who took 4 Tommies, Bren Carrier, AEC, Commando spam, armed all the Tommies with PIATs and Brens, and then saved all his fuel, got two Comets in quick succession, killed 3 P4s and a Puma with them, and drove into my base and won. -.-
So I suppose you could try that. |
I played a match against the AI last night as Ostheer, and the AI brought out a Churchill.
It showed up on the left fuel of Arnhem checkpoint, so in the Northern half of the map. I had a Grenadier squad and two P4s right there. I immediately fausted and crippled it, and the AI presented its rear to me and drove for its base without bringing up any support.
I chased it with the two P4s, firing into its rear armor the whole way.
The Churchill made it all the way to the Southeastern most corner of the map, then turned on me and killed one P4, and mutual killed the other, which had gotten to Vet 2 from firing into its rear armor the whole time.
And you want to tell me these things do not have too much HP? |
