Thread: Panzer 4 Command Tank is Overperforming15 Sep 2015, 07:39 AM The unit seems fair. Never had problem with or against it. Basically you trade the AT capacy of a normal P4 for a nice aura which is only useful if it is surrounded with other units (of course it is!). Same weaknesses, Die to a ZIS, eat ATgrenades, is UNIQUE (which is a very nice and well thought limitation). You have to rely on something else for medium anti tank unlike a normal P4. If something need to be changed (and i do not think so, i have better candidate for change), i think the patch takes the good direction when it slightly weaken the aura. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tier2 Choice10 Sep 2015, 14:53 PM UKF is an army if choices. When you reach T2 you have to/may choose between the ability to build bofors emplacements OR the armored car. My question is : what is the point of choosing to build the armored car over the uberbunker? Both are easily destroyed but one is a big STOP takethetimetodealwiththatthing (never seen elsewhere in any faction) and the other seems to be an upgraded 222 made to destroy light tanks, something a lot of UKF T2 units/upgrade can do (and dont fit in lategame) Thank you ! Thread: best strat for 1v1?9 Sep 2015, 07:04 AM 5 man upgrade is like SC2 speedling upgrade, you HAVE to do it sooner or later (the sooner the most useful). I tried to skip it but you will inevitably feel weaker and weaker. I found that the good moment is after your 2-3rd IS squad, when some of them are going to need to retreat In: UKF Strategies
Thread: UKF too weak in 1v18 Sep 2015, 09:18 AM I would have said the opposite : On open maps bofors are covering 3-4 point at the same time, which authorise you to move your whole army to the other half of the map while the ennemy has to choose between abandoning that part of the map until Lategame OR spending precious time and ressources to crack the beast. On the other side, I would have said that urban maps are a pain, as you do not have a dedicated (non doctrinal)close-combat unit or mobile mortar. Also, your grenades are coming later than other factions and Tommys are not suited to assault things. To clean buildings, you have to rely on the fragile carrier(Flamer) in the early game. But you are right, Brit is a very good Faction in defense. If you get in place 1st, you are harder to dislodge than a russian. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: P4 against the brits7 Sep 2015, 15:28 PM Have noticed that the UK rooster is not crowded with light/medium vehicles, making the P4 less interesting than usual. On the other hand i wouldn't recommand skiping T3 because of the StuG (than you can beghin to "mass" when you expect heavy UK lategame armor) and surprisingly because of the Ostwind, that i found more than useful in this matchup. Thread: Ask the Strategist!7 Sep 2015, 11:54 AM I have a question : Just played a 2v2 (OSTOST VS UKUK) map where one of our british opponent managed to lock a big part of the map by using the folowing combinaison : -a Bofors emplacement (funny part : in french bofor could mean "beautifulstrong") -a mortar emplacement -an AT gun -MAYBE a MG but i am not sure We managed to break the coconut, but at a hefty price and using a combinaison of T4 OST units from different position. Is there a simple answer to that situation? seizing the rest of the map is ok but still frustrating. The bofor seem to dish an absurd amound of Anti infantry dammage which is ok for an immobile defense with a huge cost. the problem was it was both anti-everything we throw at it (light vehicles, mortars, Stug) and immune to everything (a pantherV took an hour to break it only to see it repaired and recrewed quickly).
