Not according to notes:

Cover bonus for slot items from 300% to -25%."

Although the notes do not specify is the x50% accuracy penalty applies or not to slot items.

Can't find such a thing in the tools, only:

- Base 50% accuracy penalty for Osttruppen.
- Bonus 300% accuracy in cover, exclusively for the Osttruppen Kar98k.

So you have to add 50% dps to the Osttruppen Kar98k chart on coh2db.

I don't see any cover penalty for slot weapons. Perhaps it's like the CP4 damage reduction nerf which never went through.

So if you still need more proofs that the modding team is just as incompetent as Relic

When are these clowns finally going to admit that they made a mistake for such ideas, just say it and stop searching for a turn-around: you were wrong.

Honestly this type of toxicity doesn't contribute to anything. I think Jae gave a very clear response earlier:

... Canister rounds were intended as a self defense/general defensive tool with limited uses in ambushes/supporting other units in said ambush - that mark was clearly missed. A unit should not be able to perform well against all units in both an offensive and defensive role - that inherently asks for it to be spammed.

There: mistake admitted. I credit the balance team for searching for a proper solution instead of outright removing the ability.

I personally think 35 range keeps canister as a strong (albeit situational) ability, especially if we consider the M-42's role and cost. It allows you to turn defensive engagements into your favor, punish your opponent if he wants to harrass your M-42, destroy garrisons and kill squads that retreat through the M-42's arc (seen the latter done by VonIvan multiple times). A good player will find a use for Canister, even now it's harder to use.

Imagine firefly with half the firerate.

I only really dislike the following RNG elements:

- The abandon mechanic -> should be removed or require substantial fuel to recrew.
- The death crit mechanic for squads inside halftracks -> should be (partially) changed to damage mechanic.
- Side armor being split into front and rear armor -> should be a seperate armor value, atleast in coh3.
- Main gun crit -> I would be fine with it removed, otherwise make it a less punishing crit.
- 1 model standing out of cover getting the whole squad suppressed -> Not RNG, but added for the sake of completionism. If the majority of models stand behind cover it should apply atleast the suppression reduction to the whole squad.

Some "necessary evil" RNG:

- Model targetting between squads fighting each other.
- Certain low accuracy, high damage units (most artillery, pak howi being an extreme example). -> could be improved by tweaking stats, providing better visual information (showing proper barrage area for artillery units both in- and outside of fow, explosion itself should fit with the size of its AoE and damage) and nerfing autofire for artillery (while buffing barrages).

Stop-calling-it-bad-RNG RNG:

- A tank missing while having hit the 4 previous shots, so not being out of line with its hit chance.
- Automatic weapons: they have the most consistent dps.

Add sniper to usf's roster and we will be good
