Thread: T70 or Quad-mount?11 Jan 2016, 14:18 PM Depends on what you need, but I agree with Spin that Quad tends to be better against OKW (at least an OKW player who is going heavy on infantry and/or being blobby). Especially if they already have a few shreks out since its a bit easier to kite and do damage with the Quad. T-70 is much better if it's a larger map that has flanks - T 70 really shines as a flank patroler that can chase down lone squads and wipe them on retreat. T-70 is also a much better choice as a shock unit to push an early advantage. It's also more nimble (I had a game yesterday where I managed to circle strafe 2 Paks to death with a T-70 lol) In: Lobby

Thread: When to tech grenades?6 Jan 2016, 21:24 PM Depends on the situation, sometimes I'll tech grenades early after my third Rifle Squad if there is MG42 at a vital point that I need to clear ASAP. Sometimes the early advantage is worth it. Otherwise if you're applying good pressure and can make due without then its best to tech them after the Stuart to maximize its shock value IMO. Protip: Use the Captain's Supervise ability to make the Stuart come out even faster. Regarding buildings, one thing a lot of new players don't realize is that the number of windows determines the number of models shooting at you. If you're clearing a building its a lot easier if you attack from the side with the least windows. (Or no windows even on some buildings)For example, big churches only have 1 window above the main entrance so its a lot easier to attack from that angle than the sides. Likewise, always throw grenades at the windows the models are clustered at - it greatly increases the damage especially in bigger buildings. In: US Forces Strategies
Thread: When do you bolster squads?6 Jan 2016, 21:15 PM Title says it all, specifically what stage of the game do you typically bolster (or as a greater part of your overall strategies such as going heavy on Tommies and bolstering early). I know some people have strong opinions about not bolstering early (given that fast Cromwell is a typical strategy nowadays and the increased fuel cost of Bolster delays that) but I'm kind of curious as to what most people do and have had the most success with. People who respond to a post (no matter how seemingly biased/idiotic/synonym of your choosing is with just "L2P" it does generally come off as mean spirited and unhelpful. This should be avoided. However if you post a thread and the majority of people disagree with you and say its a L2P issue with explanations why then its on you as the OP to use that information to improve your game. Simply put just don't make threads assuming people will agree with you and then get angry when they don't. In: Lobby

Somtetimes big wins like shooting down JU loiter, sotimes only recon. Once used, need 150ammo to charge again. Would be cool, I assume you mean like a proper "Air Superiority" that could be used in response to Axis loiters/ Supply Planes. To be balanced it would have to be a loiter itself I think so that Axis AA has a has to shoot down your AA fighters (which also would take some time to shoot down Axis loiters). In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: please fix the Maxim,Dshka and .50cal drop on retreat5 Jan 2016, 21:36 PM +1000 This bug is terrible - even more so after OKW got Incendiary Grenades where now you have to insta-retreat lest the gunner burst into flames and everyone else has to dive back into the inferno to rescue the HMG. It just promotes YOLO blobbing into HMGs because you know you have a good shot to wipe them on retreat. PS You should really fix the Poll to "No - You probable Axis Fanboy you" In: COH2 Balance

Thread: How does UKF Counter Shrek Blobs30 Dec 2015, 18:03 PM Don't forget about the Bofors garrison bonus - the Suppression volley. It'll do solid damage and suppress as well. Comet is pretty great at stopping blobs too - its great AI will do fine if you're kiting shreks and if you can get them suppresssed you drive in close for the crush and/or nade toss. Don't forget the White phospohorus shells at Vet 1! So spammable and if they sit in the smoke they will start dropping like flies. In: UKF Strategies
Thread: is coh2 1v1 currently balanced ?28 Dec 2015, 21:02 PM Thunderhun pretty much nailed it. I think problem with UKF is that it generally requires a higher skill level to make them work well and as mentioned you tend to need to crutch on fast Cromwell and Sniper play. The way they are designed makes them kind of vulnerable to OKW - Emplacements are extremely unattractive to use due to ISGs and how easy it is for them to be overrun (400 MP Mortar Pit = ~ 2 Volks). If you go early Mortar Pit then one mistake and it's suddenly Flame naded with a Shrek Volk pummeling it. Combine that with no real vehicle snare + Luches rush + Piats being terrible vs. light vehicles and things get ugly fast. My gut feeling is things are mostly okay with OKW maybe being a bit too good and UKF being a bit UP. I think once Relic adds OKW side upgrades and maybe change Shreks on Volks then things will be a in a pretty good place. In: Lobby
