Does anyone else think its kind of weird that .50 Cals on Shermans are 70 Muni when MG42 Pintles are 50? Do they have that much better DPS? |
Man and I thought the upcoming US presidential elections was going to be heated. >.> Everyone should just let it be and realize the suspension was more or less fair.
Yes it was an amusing prank that I don't think from what I know anybody really thinks was done in an outwardly malicious or mean-spirited manner. If this was just some run-of-the-mill weekly cast or whatever it wouldn't have been a big deal, we'd all have a good laugh and move on. Problem is that it affected a tournament that was hyped and a pretty big deal in many people's eyes. (1000 viewers is nothing to scoff at). You can't mess with that kind of thing and not expect consequences even if it was all done "in fun".
What happens? They both get a proverbial slap on the wrist and get banned for a little bit. Maybe 1 week ban would have been long enough? That's not for me to say. The casters have a right to be offended by the prank as it disrupted something that they both put a lot of work into and it directly affected them. Likewise Barton and Sprice deserve to be offended at any morons who post calling for lifetime bans and other stupid crap acting like Barton and Sprice are terrible human beings for pulling what amounts to a COH2 Dennis the Menace level prank. If they want to go all doe-eyed and plead their case with the Relic overlords then that's their right but otherwise everything happened as it probably should have.
Come on people. |
I see MG42 crews doing that same thing occasionally (where the 3 non-gunners will move ahead and form a half circle) Never knew if this was an intentional change or not. It's kind of nice because the entire squad isn't bunched together but its also kind of strange to look at. |
I'd say the Calliope is more of a blob wiper/ alpha strike unit whereas the Priest is more of a sustained shelling of an area unit.
I think Priest is better for making life hell around a strong point or OKW Trucks since the barrage is longer and has a shorter cooldown but Callope will more likely wipe units if catch them whereas Priest is more RNG. |
I think a lot of players are going the IS + Sniper into fast Cromwell route these days. Goal is to fast tech (avoid emplacements and AEC unless you really need it ) and get out Cromwell ASAP to maximize its shock value. Mid game you focus on holding out with well placed Vickers and 6 Pounders to combat light vehicles and use Brit Sniper to force retreats and cause MP bleed. Upgrade with Brens when you can to gain infantry advantage.
Idea is to snowball into Vetted IS with double Brens and solid Brit late game.
Its still rough sledding because Brits are pretty bad at 1v1 at the moment but with well microed Sniper play you can do pretty good. |
Technically mortars already can if they penetrate a low health tank and finish it off to trigger the critical
Those stacked Mortar Armor Penetration+ Bulletins guys, amirite? |
*Looks at OP's post count* *moves along*
Dat troll thread |
Thematically/histocially okay yes this makes sense. Balance-wise... can I have some of what you're smoking?
Personally I think Cons Vs. Grens is okay but Cons vs. Volks feels like such a struggle to me (especially if there is a SturmPio supporting them). I agree that some non-doctrinal ability or maybe side-upgrade that would allow Cons to upgrade with a single DP would be a nice addition. |
I'd be content with it being cheaper... it'd at least give you a reason to promote the Major from "Ambulance Supervisor" and/or "Suicide Capper" and actually have him hang around the front lines. |
Mortar Smoke bugging out all the time and not firing?
(Does anyone know what actually causes this - is it ordering the mortar to fire the barrage outside of its max range and/or if its not already set up?
I'd be happy if they kept the new vehicle pathing but just increased the max distance when a vehicle will default reverse by a bit. (I would almost always prefer my vehicles to reverse in most circumstances) |
