Thread: Ostruppen having an MP40 upgrade4 Jun 2018, 01:29 AM I think if you simply scaled up their close range accuracy on their K98's that should be good enough. It would help their defensive role (against shorter range infantry) as well as their offensive role. To compensate, their range tables and their accuracy boost in cover should be reworked to something else, such as a Brit-like RoF/cooldown kind of deal. In: COH2 Balance

Mud is in the game currently btw, it's on the map "General Mud". They removed it. There's literally 0 elements of deep snow, deep mud, or coldtech in the game anymore. The reasoning was that all it did was slow down the game for both sides and had no place in competitive play. (Honestly, I liked it, and I wish they kept it in automatch.) The criticals were likely removed for similar reasons pertaining to competitive play and RNG. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Pioneer Mark Target Voices12 May 2018, 22:12 PM Listen to this for ten seconds. In my mod, I'm looking into adding a veteran ability to Ostfront Sturmpioneers. Interestingly, Pioneers had a Mark Target voiceline. However, I'm having trouble interpreting the implications of this ability. The line ,"Mark that enemy objective" has gotten me thinking. "Enemy objective" confuses me greatly; is it supposed to mean mark something that the enemy considers as an objective, such as a friendly point? Or does this mean designate an enemy point as the objective? Was this orignally supposed to target a unit like all the other Mark Target instances in the game? What would be the most interesting choice gameplay wise, and what would make the most sense? I also have no idea what the ability speech codes for that one should look like. In: Modding and Tools
