165??? WutFace HOLY HELL
Yeah, 165 is quite a lot
Although depending on how bad it lowers RoF it could be fair, because leaving it on HVAP would mean it's less effective at it's normal job vs other mediums. I think it's really an interesting idea. |
I feel like concrete bunkers can be balanced by construction time. A lot of the fear surrounding these bunkers is that they'll be too strong early game. They hit the field fairly late at 8cp! And while they may be ridiculously sturdy, I feel this can be balanced by putting more of a construction tax on Pioneers. After all, it is concrete, and permanent structures are time consuming to build. You'd have to pay with a big time investment not spent repairing your PzIV or StuG.
While all this hate is going on about Concrete Bunkers, I still don't agree with the StuG E. I think the StuG E is better replaced by Reigel mines or something defensive. Perhaps hull-down? The doctrine so far seems already quite strong, so having a little bit of a meh ability wouldn't be too bad.
Here's a thought: Why don't we make hull-down tanks some suppression on their MG's (maybe Maxim-esque suppression) and a smaller target size rather than the current range and received damage? Ostwinds could have suppression on their main gun instead, so it can be like a squishier, less-suppressiony version of a Panzer HQ. |
It would be be a lot of work. I can see it as each OKW tech building has a unique pack-up ability depending on which tech building it is. Both a dummy unit and player upgrade is applied depending on which halftrack's pack-up ability is used. The unit dummy upgrade will lock out all deploy actions except for a modified clone of the appropriate deploy, while the player upgrade keeps track of whichever halftrack was deployed and undeployed for teching reasons (Schwere prereq for example). Once the halftrack redeploys using the modified deploy ability, both dummy upgrades are removed.
11/10 out of scope, and is thus irrelevant to the commander reworks, but some food for thought. I too would like to shamelessly steal take inspiration from SneakEye's implementation, but that's probably best for another topic. |
Are vehicle models even replaceable within these kind of structures? Or you're suggesting Zis truck as a field base of sorts? I dont think truck is durable enough compared to Brit forward assemlby, it would be too easy to destroy with indirect fire
That whole complex was spawned in. It would be pretty simple to swap the WC51 for a ZiS because that FHQ was built from multiple parts.
However, I think people are forgetting something with the small radio post. It would be just as easy to spawn extras around that to make it appear bigger or sturdier. |
Don't forget the radio post from the campaign! Animator is located at "gameplay\resource_points\radio_post_sp\radio_post_sp"
It looks like this:

Interesting. M3 Halftracks sent to UK/USSR: 2 each?
More like Super Special Weapons Regiment.
Also I should point out that apparently some of the Soviet skins cover the M3 halftrack but because it's so ahistorical I'd vote against it anyway |
Let's be honest, though. Since when has Soviet Industry ever been used? I for one, welcome our new Industrial overlords. KV-2 is still at 14CP and costs a buttload. What's the problem here? |
If it's actually going to be armored (not take bullet damage at all), unlike the 222, then I'm all for it.
If it's going to take bullet damage, I'm against it.
Of course this will take bullet damage. It's going to be a CP 1 (even debating CP 0) vehicle. Nobody can rush out an AT gun that quickly.
And also this is Signal Relay, not Forward Receivers. Signal Relay in vanilla reveals all enemy vehicles on the minimap through Fog of War for a short duration. Proposed changes is to move it to a 223 that limits its range so its not map-wide maphacks but have it on all the time. Forward Recievers is centered around base halftracks, but this will be on a mobile unit. |
Oh and Pfussies for Elite Armoured were discussed to death. We spent a great deal of time talking through various proposals for them. Ultimately we decided not to pursue as it was very divisive across the group. We very much expect it would be equally as controversial in public.

I couldn't really care less about HEAT rounds (which historically were actually garbage and LESS pen than the normal PzGr.39) and crew repairs. I think Panzerfusiliers would be my biggest wish for Elite Armor, although I like the 223 because it would be a good shock unit early game that can still be relevant late game, either with my ideas or with A. Soldier's. I'd be ecstatic if both changes make it in though |
