Also was thinking all heavies should just be standardized at 12 CP so we don't have any heavies arriving noticeably earlier since in some cases the player with the faster CP clock could have their heavy while their opponent is still 1-2 or maybe 3 in some cases away from their tank. At least in that manner the JT, Ele, and ISU all coming at 14 CP wouldn't be much later either considering they generally are meant to be counters to some of the lighter heavies. |
I'll re-post what I said in the other thread so everyone can see it:
The issue is forcing all tech structures would be fine for all factions except Soviets because they have a cheap T1/T2. They would have to force Soviets to pay for all sidetech including 7-man upgrade(which should go back to 25 fuel from 20) to equal the cost the other faction would pay to tech all structures for a heavy tank. Soviets simply have the most streamlined tech tree at the moment and that allows them to rush the IS-2 too quickly. So we would have to force side-tech requirements on Soviets to equal the teching costs of other factions when they go for all tiers. |

I think the goal with heavies should be to delay them by about 5 minutes across the board, obviously not units like the ISU, Elephant, or JT. But the IS-2, Pershing, and both OKW and OST Tiger can all come before 20 minutes. If heavies are just pushed back to around the 25 minute mark the game would be much better overall. |
Honestly I like the idea of trying to make all heavies like the KT but I don't think its feasible with multiple factions having different methods of teching. The 2 CP increase across the board and 3 Minute standardization to cooldown once a heavy is destroyed should be almost enough to make them not feel as oppressive but I still think Heavies are slightly too good against infantry. Also I am assuming the IS-2 and KV-2 are going to be 12 CP since they are currently 10 in the live game. |
I just kind of wish the P4 in Strategic Reserves Doctrine became non-doctrinal but was tied to Tier 4 so the tier at least has a generalist medium to pair with the Panther/Brummbar especially if you want to skip Tier 3 and go T4 instead. Right now going Tier 2 into Tier 4 is impossible unless you have OKW players going Puma to help against vehicles. The ability in the commander could get replaced by something that would allow Ostheer to turn their P4 into the J Variant for 50 mp and 20 fuel like the Bulldozer for USF. |
I would be ok with Grens being able to get a 3rd G43 with the upgrade that comes with certain commanders (Lightning War, Jaeger Infantry, Elite Troops). Then increasing the cost to 60 from 45 to compensate. |
I think the Brummbar is decent performance wise but its just too expensive considering you already have to go Tier 4 to get it. Cheaper TD's absolutely shut it down and premium mediums also defeat it pretty handedly. Or at least allow it to duel tanks a bit better if it's gonna stay the same cost. |
For once I actually agree with IncendiaryRounds, I think Ass Grens are good but they don't have the utility other units have, nerfing them would just gimp Ostheer's early game even further since Grens aren't very good early game to begin with. |
Rangers are good, I just think Para's are better and Falls also counter Rangers well. |
