So the logic is that artillery pieces are not indirect fire option, because they can be counter by off maps? Maybe we should add that to definition in the dictionary?
Having to go for off map to counter artillery pieces though also limits enemy commander selection.
In the end of the day your argument about Partisan holds no water. Both commanders, are decent and are used, Partisan are the most cost efficient spawning units and the strong point of theses commanders.
I would guess that most people choosing a commander mainly for access to spawning units would chose one with Partisans.
Once more these commander are even more viable in the new Patch.
Not the point he's making. It's the fact that howitzers are hard to use effectively in 1v1 and even 2v2
it is really easy to understand what that guy was telling you...
I´ll give you an example.....my tank do 1000 damage every time he hits an enemy tank....
Enemy tank do 200 damage every time he hits my tank....
Now, enemy tank hit me 8 out of 10 shoots, while I only hit him 1 out of 10 shoots....
In addition, my tank fires each 5 seconds, but enemy tank shoot each 2 seconds...
Yeah my tank is a beast, he do 1000 damage!!!!
but after the engagement my tank is dead, and enemy tank is alive....
ehh, well, that guy said that AEC is not as good as it was in the past againts infantery, so no a great threat in the early game where he don´t usually have ligth vehicles and tanks, so no big treat there for the enemy faction.
And you answered with that table....if your answers is remotely linked to what guy said, then, you were trying to defend AEC being good againts infantery
If not, then, maybe, it is better you don´t quote others if you are not saying something related to the quoted guy.
anyway, I´m really noob, so maybe, I just missunderstanding something, if so, apologies....
Finally, yeah, giving a table with damage data is not a good indicator of if that unit is good or bad againts infantery...coz, there are lot of others parameters that affect the performance of that unit againts infantery, as accuracy, how fast it is shoooting, etc...
So , imho your damage table is really pointless as it is not a good indicator of the performance of those units againts infantery....
The damage table takes into account the target size and armor. That is why, despite the high base DPS of the six pounder, it can't do a lot of damage against infantry, because it's adjusted damage profile is under 1 for DPS. Tell me if anything else was unclear.
I doubt they would actually include a infographic on their website that says that their German interpretation has more infantry than their Russian one. I think that may be part of the disconnect and why I'm doubtful that relic will accept our changes.
If I had to develop and fix a game that would have to stand up to .org hyperscrutiny, I'd be shitting myself 24-7. People complain before they think and it's really hard to satisfy everyone that way. When they pushed the date on the balance mod testing to gather more data, people complained. When a side project gets completed, people complained. Sometimes I imagine a relic coder reading all of the coh2 threads while resisting the urge to drink bleach.
The only problem I have is how much health or whatever stats OST sniper has that makes them so durable. The other day I flanked an ost sniper do not think it was vetted maybe vet 1 at most with a full rifle squad. He immediately retreated and the sniper had to run right BESIDE my full rifle squad and he still survived. That is just dumb he should of been punished for being caught off guard by my rifles but more times than not the damn thing gets away with a sliver of health. Rifles also do shit dmg from far away so its hard to attack the sniper at range and it should be but come on the fucker had to retreat and run right by my full hp rifle squad and lived so they had like i dunno 5 - 10 seconds of time of all 5 firing at the sniper some shots at close range.
m20 counter is a huge risk with luchs and 222 coming out as fast as they do m20 field time is very limited and has a very small window to kill the sniper. I'm not even sure if you trade the m20 being killed for a sniper kill if that is even worth it maybe if they have two and you get both with it. I'd rather try to hold out for stuart and just let sniper bleed me.
UKF sniper is way too fragile I think or maybe it is in a good spot and more like how all snipers should be not with crazy body armor as he can be killed rather quickly if you let volks or grens fire at him.
I think the combination of how strong ost sniper is and 222 rush the way it has been buffed is a bit much.
