I agree, they are fine and that the rest of the Red Army needs some help. I mean, Penals and T-34/76s have been sitting in the dust. Even the Maxim still has that issue when it comes to retreating, but because the gunner died the rest of the group has to literally come back to get the weapon itself before continuing. Thread: Conscripts - when being a looser is your fate7 Jun 2016, 16:44 PM Stop trying to make a big issue out of something that isn't really an issue. Conscripts are fine frontline infantry. They just have a higher skill to use. The reason why people refer to the veterancy is because that is the best part of them. They are good at taking gunfire and replacing their losses due to the fact that they're really cheap. I also have to mention asymmetric balance. Where Soviet's lack long range, they have ways to get themselves close to their foes by 'oorah'. Just like CartoonVillain said, it rushes them into their enemies or strategically secure buildings from support weapons or grenadiers. I mean, they are the only frontline infantry I know that can rush a tank and rain down anti-tank grenades. Now their merge ability also makes them unique and useful compared to other infantry. Its very useful on the go when you have a vet 3 anti-tank gun with low health or getting Guards or Shocks back into the fight without waiting. In: COH2 Balance

And yes, even with AT gun involved, StuGs still outperform panther against churchill by a long shot. I can agree with this statement as an Allied player. Having StuGs against tanks like a Churchill are effective. Even though the assault gun has less armor, its cheap enough to allow multiple tanks like 2-3 which cannot be achieved with a Panther unless that person has enough popcap or enough fuel. The StuG is cheap enough and can perform better dps than the Panther in terms of firepower. Yes, it doesn't have the armor that people want to have against a Churchill, but when it is supported by an AT gun at the rear while there is a 222 with a spotting scope you have a very dangerous tank hunter group against the Churchill. If I leave this game it will be because USF/Sov have no late game. OKW, Ostheer, and Brits are balanced. I don't play one faction exclusively. What have you been smoking? OKW has been trying to go to Relic rehab to fix some issues which plagued the game since the beginning of their existence into the game. Especially the Volksblob with the volley fire of Panzerschreks. As for Brits, their design has some issues. I mean, these are the same issues which was similar to the days of Opposing Fronts and anybody who played vCoh knows the horrors of the British emplacements. Ostheer has been the underdog of the entire multiplayer meta since the arrival of the USF and OKW. While they still have their place in W/L ratio, their faction has some issues trying to adjust to the changing times. Even though they are great at combined arms, they lack light tanks and their grenadiers are in need of some buffs. Like having a fifth man and/or fixing their spacing. USF has the Pershing and the Soviets have the IS-2. These are late-game units which they can choose to cause conflict with the Ostheer and the OKW. In: Scrap Yard
