Even worse than Railway arty. You spend 90 munis and you need to drop 5 models most likely 5 gren models = 150mp to get an Ostruppen squad (worth 200mp). U save 50mp at a cost of 90munis and the risk of losing an entire squad or wasting 90munis cuz u didn't get 5 models to drop in the span of 40secs. This ability was clearly overnerfed. DO NOT USE THIS WORTHLESS ABILITY AT ALL. It's not literally "spent 90 muni and 150MP each to get 200MP back" though, it requires you to lose the models probably through fighting the enemy back (unless you know they got a mine field you can suicide through I guess...), which has its inherent benefit of "trying to not lose the game", so I don't think it's fair to simply consider regard the resource expenditure as that. I'd say decrease the time to like 1.5 seconds. There's no reason it has to be a handful of seconds when they can't heal in combat or anything and it just makes it annoying to use. Honestly, that would definitely help a ton too. It's kind of a bummer to save a squad time retreating and walking back to heal up by...having another squad spend like 10 seconds to start up healing them (I don't remember the actual casting time's exact length, it's probably more like 5, but you get me). The casting time might have be designed for when the healing worked in combat or something...but that was definitely years ago. In: COH2 Balance

Maybe this is a 1v1/team-games difference, but there are plenty of times (especially on larger maps) where the extra muni is worth it. I mean, people throw grenades to deny the enemy cover and consider it worth it; why wouldn't it be worth it to heal up a squad that's battle ready and not have to retreat them + bring them back. It'd also say it's pretty likely for HMGs since they won't take 0 damage from a suppressed blob, but with support helping it's not impossible for them to send the blob packing before the HMG crew takes losses. That's what I thought of too. But I'll admit I don't know about how often they used satchel charges or how many Panzer IV Hs they had, so I hesitated to call it out as the definitive inspiration. Yeah, the reserves in a battlefield plan is probably the rare good stuff that you'd rather not lose, so you keep it off the frontline until you can be sure they're needed to be used as effectively as possible...but the reserves before a battlefield plan is the rare bad stuff you're only using at all because you're out of the rest, and you're not expecting too much! ~~Osttruppen Reserves are the former because you CAN count on Osttruppen~~ In: Lobby
