Cobra, are you possibly some kind of researcher or journalist by day? Because I can't see many other sorts of people devoting such rigor to sourcing their forum replies and it's fairly impressive. |
Then it would be CQC units meta.
Shocks, PPSh Cons, Thompson Vehicle Crews... oh, wait, wut?
Partysans have had their turn, now its Vehicle Crews |
-Use the heavy tank voice-lines because there are Panther lines there.
Balance suggestions or a mod patch notes for the unaware? |
This game will certainly provide some much needed relief from the steaming pile of BS that is Coh2.
And I will bet no one will refer to any feature as CANCER.
Well, why would they? They'd be too busy calling Gandhi a nuke-happy nazi. |
Is it true that you wont hear the mortar Shell if its Landing on top of you?
It'd depend whether the mortar shell will travel to your location faster than the speed of sound reaching. Considering the high arcs of mortars, it's probably quite feasible for mortar shells to approach the ground slower than the sound, though I have no real idea about what the velocity of relevant mortar shells are (most I can find is Wikipedia claiming the obsolete Canadian M19 60mm Mortar's muzzle velocity is 168 m/s). |
Random addition:
Panther and Brummbar have had their lines swapped between mediums and heavies. Panther uses the heavy tank lines which also include specific lines about the Panther. Brummbar uses the medium tanks which has specific references to 'Stupa'.
Oh, how'd you do that? |
Riflemen
Slight reduction in survivability to encourage use of other units and more supporting assets for the USF to allow Riflemen to close the distance, but still good enough to allow Riflemen to hold out late game.
-Veterancy 3 Received Accuracy from 20% to 15%.

20/10 illustration, would toss the Mona Lisa out of the Louvre for this |
As Creem says, the effect is triggered by most tracked Allied vehicles (have not tried them with captured Axis, or playing as Axis with a Captured Sherman).
It's a confusing ability because it has peculiar requirements and effects: some but not all vehicles will trigger the effect, but doesn't seem to follow any broad criteria (ie you'd think it triggers when near all medium vehicles, yet it doesn't), and all for a measly bonus that only applies to that Sherman tank.
What's even more confusing is that not all Sherman tanks gain or receive the effect.
Given all these it's hardly worth it to worry about the ability. Odds are your Sherman would never last as vet1 to make the effect count, or for that matter never be near other compatible vehicles in the first place.
You just gotta spam Shermans harder |
(note that due to the focus-fire mechanic STGs are a bit more accurate than their value indicates, since they have 2 chances of hitting somebody)
Speaking of which, that's focus-fire off right? |
