Soviet infantry never really received much in the way of upgrades, unlike their German counterparts. The Soviets were definitely friggin' rolling in PPSh-41s by 1943. A PPSh for half your frontline infantry squads was probably a figure a fair bit closer to real life than an MG42 for every 4 men. In: COH2 Gameplay

I mean it was one of the most iconic tanks of the war and barely seen in game. We'd probably just go back to having the problem with wondering why get a T-70 when you could save up just a bit to get a T-34 that's twice as hard to kill. Jump back to quoted post27 Jan 2016, 00:51 AMUrza3142 To be fair, the multiplayer scene takes place during at least mid 1943 (Kursk and the like), and by this point the T-34/76's advantage in protection and firepower were being negated by all manner of high velocity German weapons. The T34/76 had it's heyday in Operation Uranus, afterwards it became increasingly outclassed by it's German counters. True, but the Soviets can only use weaponry dated before 1943 without doctrines instead of raining PPSh-41s onto their infantry. Can't even use DShK 1938s without a doctrine :-\ In: COH2 Gameplay

Also, doesn't the Stug get a bunch of RoF upgrades from veteran levels? Just mean the actual rate of rounds fired, as the actual thing broken down is a bit complex in total. Point is, in terms of how many rounds they'll be able to shoot at a still target in range in a given amount of time, the Pak 40 will probably be a bit more. The StuG G's reload bonuses from vet are alike to the Pak 40s (Both gain 0.7 and 0.9 multipliers, though the StuG G get the 0.9 from vet 2 instead of vet 3). The differences from there are that the Pak 40 gains 1.3 penetration and 1.3 rotation, while the StuG G gets 1.2 rotation, speed and (de)acceleration. In: COH2 Gameplay

I know it has less range, but how does it's damage and penetration stand up? Actually, the damage is entirely equal. The Pak 40's penetration is superior by 20/15/10 and has 10 more range. The Pak 40's practical fire-rate tends to be a bit higher. In: COH2 Gameplay

O.o They were 320 or 340 MP (I think it might have went down to 320 after their DPS was nerfed and they were given a received accuracy bonus) on release. Definitely never broke 400. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: It's about time to talk about Molotovs again26 Jan 2016, 22:53 PM Incendiaries and Molotovs could both use a damage-tick speed-up by the splitting the difference between the nerf and the former value (Ticked every 0.75 seconds, now every 1.25 seconds, change it to every 1 second). It's just silly having them hit weapon crews, having the crew then pack up and retreat, and fail to kill any of them. In: COH2 Balance

The only reason one wouldn't get it is if they find they prefer getting plenty of Pak 40s and Panzerschrecks - with the obvious drawback that players will be tying much more pop and munitions into AT.
