ppl have commented on your replay at replay section check it out.. I dint watch yours but from what i read i see you were dealing with KT with E8s.. ive had this situations before most of the times i lost even with 4 E8s a well supported KT is hard to counter with E8s so my advice if you are going E8s then dont let the game drag on beyond 23mins.. if it drags on and you suspect KT get 2 Jacksons.
E8s are great vs panthers but struggle vs KT.. a good Opp will never let you get behind him so Jacksons are best they can fire from range if Volks Shrecks charge at you keept a 50 cal infront of JAcksons to supress them
oh man I totally didnt realize this whole people were commenting on the replay itself. Well I guess you learn something new everyday..... |

replay plz I would love to see that |
KT is nondoctrinal, has more health, faster reload, does more damage, and usually faces off against much crappier tanks than its friendly partners (axis tanks are tougher and have better AT).
IS-2 is better than the Tiger, can fight the Tiger II, but the Tiger II is still in its own league.
I meant in the context of reality..... |
The Pershing wouldn't be a "superior tank", it would be probably the least powerful of the 3 "tiger class" vehicles - IS2 > Tiger > Pershing. It could be uniquely AT focussed, or AI focussed, or forced to switch rounds like the Sherman. There are a lot of possibilities for how you could handle it.
I'm just saying that conceptually, adding a heavy to USF will not ruin balance in and of itself. The specific stats of the tank would dictate whether it was OP, along with the quality of the doctrine it was included in. For example, no Airborne, no 1919 unlocks means the infantry that support them are less effective.
anyone care to explain why an IS-2 is roughly equal to a Tiger I when its more in line with a Tiger II? |
or give the jackson 200 damage and increase the pen. this would mean it takes 4 shots to kill a 640hp tank but only 3 if they're hit by a pfaust/AT nade/AT RG.
problem is the Jackson is mostly balanced for OBK but not for OST tier 3 which renders it almost obsolete as is and buffing it will only make it worse. |
It needs a pen buff, because it's absolute shit against anything that isn't a medium tank.
Not even saying a huge pen buff, it's a 240dmg cannon a slight buff to make it a tad bit more consistent, as it is it fails more than it succeeds, the supposed turreted super squishy tank destroyer can't destroy tanks and it's a drain of resources on any other role.
Its main antagonist (the OKW panther) simply laughs at it, its function is more that of giving the panther vet since it can't chase it because of shot blockers/panzerschrecks/pak43/raketen whatever, can't penetrate it at vet 2 (unless HVAP is used, but there lies the problem, you need penetrations to get experience) and even if you are in a good spot to kill the panther it just needs vet 1 to activate the afterburners and go at incredible speed with a ridiculous -50% received accuracy bonus, it's just silly.
I feel the jackson should simply be replaced with the M10 as stock US TD with some minor buffs too it like turret rotation this way late game they scale by sheer numbers of 2 or 3 combined with a nerf to shrecks and actually adding side armor would work quite well I believe |
anyone else feel in terms in heavy tanks they should all get the ISU-152 nerf and have to switch shells? I think its a fair price for such powerful guns good vs anything |
