Sure Paras do damage without a weapon upgrade but not enough to justify calling them in the first or selecting Airborne in the first place. Obers worse than sturms? They need to get a buff if they lose their LMG34. Same could be said about Paras for that matter, without LMGs or thompsons they're just more expensive riflemen with an extra man and a different ability. also were still waiting on you to provide a source that proves relic intend the Soviets to be call in heavy/reliant. Really IR StG's just exist to help counter building garrisoning, and with the changes they could be taken away with out much teeth nashing, but I just find it silly to make the sticking point of realism here. Sure if you wanna go with that...... But with that being said might as throw the IS-3 Pershing/Super Pershing, centurion and the only late-endwar equipment that basically saw little to no real combat In: COH2 Gameplay

I tried to make things trade offs, you want to spam infantry? Fine no tanks for you, you want to get a big artillery piece? Fine no blob for your, you want to get Panthers? Fine no infantry spam for you. The biggest problem with OKW not is your not weighing risk/reward, you just get this big blob of anti-everything and run it around the map. And refer to my note that even adding some of the stuff would be a welcome change. And I believe that artillery should be non-doc across all factions. Artillery is the greatest blob counter, and every faction deserves equal tools in being able to punish blobbing. Soviets have always had to use call ins and intelligent commander choice to compete. OKW and USF are similar in that commanders fill "holes" in the unit list, they don't just replace units with better ones which how soviet commanders work and Ostheers to an extent. The reason I mention it is because people constantly ignore it hope this helps. That sounds like a issue since Commander Choice and More specifically Call in Units should augment and compliment your play not determine the ultimate viability of a faction as a whole. Thread: Damn this balance26 Feb 2015, 18:55 PM 1v1 and 2v2 to a lesser extent is the most balanced however 3v3/4v4 is bar the most popular mode and we shouldn't just alienate them entirely. We should seek easy meaningful ways to impect big team battle balance for the better without compromising core balance. Like for instance introducing a simple resource scaling mechanic for big team battle to help with the resource inflation issue? In: COH2 Balance
