There is no way to know what is causing your error without more information. At this point, the only remaining option is to put your mod folder in a ZIP and PM me a link to download it. I upgraded with a newer Graphics Card, and Hard Drive. During the back up process, it said that some files had names too long (over 400 files, had no time to go through them.) and won't be copied over. Copying the backup to the new HD had the same thing. That would mean that a lot of data was not copied over. Make sure your paths are all set correctly in the Mod Builder. All paths set correctly. Followed a number of tutorials over the span of a few months of using the Tools. I did not follow any "tutorials" while working on this mod, merely thread questions/answers, all of which worked with no problem. It seems that upgrading my computer has a catch (it's a legitimate upgrade with genuine products).., or it could be missing files while backing up data. Could that be the issue? I really hope not. Could you tell us what you are doing (what kind of mod, how your mod is structured, etc)? The mod only has simple ebps/sbps and other edits. It's planned to be a total conversion mod. What do you mean by "structured" (I'm sorry I'm still new to this)? I was making changes to a few things (like sbps, ebps, etc) that has never caused any problem in the past. When I clicked Build, that's when the error started. Could missing files/folders be the problem? In: Modding and Tools

Try something like: Code local player1 = World_GetPlayerAt(1) Then you can make the calls to set that player's resources. I'm not sure, but setting the player race may not be supported. After you fix the player1 problem, start a game, immediately hit pause, and see if the console has any error messages regarding setting the race. When I tried this I got a Fatal Scar Error but when I press the ESC key (in-game menu) and went back to the game the scar error disappears and everything goes back to normal. Bad thing or no? Thread: Nothing I do seems to work. What am I doing wrong?22 Dec 2014, 07:27 AM Just pulling my hair out, SCAR is really frustrating to even learn. Everything I do either ends up with a fatal scar, a non-running script, even if I enter a simple piece of line - Player_AddResource (player1, RT_Manpower, 1000) into the console in -dev mode in-game, I always get a nil value error. I don't even know why everything I do with this language ends with an error. Somebody please tell me and teach me what I'm doing wrong. I don't think I even understand how to use this scripting language. Edit: I really want to make mods for this game, but if the difficulty level for SCAR is this high, then this is definitely a steep barrier for me. That or I'm just screwing up everywhere. Thread: scar file doesn't seem to be working20 Dec 2014, 19:14 PM I'm about to tear my hair out here because for the past few hours I've been trying to get a SIMPLE scar file working. I saved it as the same name as the map name, saved it as a scar file, saved it in the same location as the map is saved at, even have a scar marker in the map, exported all that, and whenever I try the map the map starts out as a standard match with standard everything.
