I'd happily accept a change that makes ost snipers die from mortors, it would help out balance. I haven't used ost snipers in awhile, but last I did check, they couldn't survive a direct mortor round.
Ostheer sniper has 82 HP, mortar round does 80 damage. It can't die in one mortar hit.
Had exactly the same. Only played 1 or 2 games of CoH2 and was happy when I won them. Now I can just keep on playing a whole day. When I lose its unfortunate, but just go to the menu and start the search for another game. Just think what you could have done different and enjoy the game!
Keeping the bobross mindset helps too. Happy Accidents KappaRoss
This is what I have been trying to say. I'm not trying to "nerf axis."
Of course a mine, thrown grenade or gunfire should damage retreating units. It's interrupting retreating that is the issue.
You are fighting a losing battle here. Its obviously easier to set up strawmen against you than actually consider the consequences of something that cancels retreat.
Im in total agreement. The stun nades feel like cheating on retreating units.
Its just mind set. I used to not be able to play for than 2 1v1s a day. Now if something bad happens I just say "welp thats not good" and move on. Its honestly a mind set. There isn't a trick.
I have found the amount of fun I have while playing goes up dramatically when I just move past stuff.
I'm not sure what it is, but I think there's one of these under every map. Even a freshly-created map with zero props or actions has one. It sits at or very close to 0.00 on the terrain height editor (10.00 being the default ground level, 0-10 is about the height of a 3 story building).
I've only seen it surface on Minks Pocket though, I assume because the map dips down further than most, while the center is also the most fought over. The artillery barrages aren't enough to uncover it since deformation isn't very strong, so I'd guess it 'rises' over time or action? But I'm just speculating, I haven't tried to see what exactly makes it appear.
It used to appear on that map that was taken out of rotation. I forget the name but there was the house in the middle of the map that had no windows covering the VP, but had windows covering the south spawn approach.
Untouched, this ability seems to fall in the category of "nice but i have better things to do" like the tripwireflare of the sovietz.
Most of he time a médibunker at the base is a far more cost effective on the long term, particulary in teamgames (and far less microintensive)
As stated before, the occasionnal sniper heal makes it cute, but i would prefer something else(a smoke, a UKFheal, sandbagz, a hitzedirt stance,...)
Kozo
Trip wire flares are pretty legit for 10 munitions and killing a model or 2.
