Grenadiers are also described as experienced troops (quite the opposite of concripts) but they still get 3 vet ranks just like cons. It's just basic faction design. It doesn't matter whether a unit already represents experienced troops or not. EDIT: I don't have problem with the term "obersoldat". What happened to the zeroing arty? I didn't use it recently. The fuse time of volks grenades got increased to 1.25 secs, if you mean that. To me, it is the same than a bioball from Terran in Sc2. A blob easy to do and that can rape everything with ease. Do I really have to repeat everything I said? Every blob will hurt the blobber more than the blob will hurt the enemy simply because blobs are easily countered. If you see a ober/volk blob the only thing you have to do is: plant demos, mines and / or get some arty. The blob will get wiped off the battlefield just like this one: http://i.imgur.com/cQNxrBu.gif I know this is a specific situation. It's just for illustrative purposes. In: COH2 Balance

There is no army that synergises so well on so highly efficient level without sacrificing anything except OKW. A shrecked volks blob can do what? Vaporize any infantry and tanks. Yes, it can if you just yolo rush your tanks into it. Volks can also fight inf but what if...I don't know....what if you use anti blob weapons such as (off map)arty, demos, mines or any other form of indirect fire (that's also a counter to Obers btw). If you are talking about Obers + Shrecked volks. Well, Volks are AT and Obers are AI. That's "combined arms" to some extent. So, you obviously shouldn't simply fight them directly. If it's a blob it's even better. It's still inf, so you can use all the stuff I've mentioned above. If there's a Panther + Obers + shrecked Volks it's more difficult. You have to use combined arms yourself then. In: COH2 Balance

However, if you decide to place only 1 patch down (15 MU) you will be refunded for the other 3 patches the moment you cancel construction (45 MU). That way you can spread your s-mines over a greater area on the map as opposed to one massive field, which makes it much more difficult for a single sweeper squad to deal with. I didn't know that.
