Maxim spam is excellent proof that USF, Soviets and OKW are all pretty equally cheesy. It's no more annoying than Volks spam or Rifle spam. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Smoke and small map size make it pretty easy to roam the map doing massive amounts of DPS using Shocks. Short range blobs have a different focus than long range blobs, since it's much easier to wipe an enemy caught up in your max DPS zone than one farther away. You might make more people retreat with a long range blob, but you will wipe a lot more units with a close range one. Regardless the fact that SMG's and Assault Rifles don't do well at medium range is quite silly, all DPS should be toned down but made more uniform across weapon profiles. In: COH2 Balance |

But Alex majority of your post that I have seen so far defends Axis units. I think its fair to assume you are bit biased based on your player card with Axis only games. Before WFA came out I had less than 10 hours logged playing as Axis. I don't like playing USF, but most of my friends prefer 3's and 4's (axis) so that's what I play. I do still play a far amount of AT soviets. The reason I defend Axis units (I haven't posted much at all before this latest posting spree) is because so much of the posts in these kinds of threads just read like revenge fantasies and rage posts because someone lost a game. I just don't think OKW is any more OP or cheesy than Soviets or USF. All 3 are stuck with dumb cheese strats and they all lack good options. Ostheer on the other hand, is just in a really bad spot at the moment. In: COH2 Balance |

The issue isn't that AA was made, the issue is that what was left to rot so AA could be made. While it makes sense to release a SP AA campaign (which did nothing for the comp stompers) from a monetary perspective, long term your going to lose out because the only thing that keeps RTS's alive is the multiplayer, shafting your long term community by basically leaving them to rot really doesn't end well for most companies. I guess it's true Relic could stay in business just releasing SP expansions, but putting a bullet in the head of your online community also doesn't seem like the greatest idea. I would be much less upset about AA if we hadn't gone months without new content or balance because of it, when people on these very forums have proven it doesn't take a massive team of people months to make a balance patch. No matter which way you slice it, the way SMG's and Assault Rifles work in this game is extremely stupid. The whole "Only good at point blank range" heavily encourages blobing and simply rushing up to an enemy unit instead of trying to use cover/tactics. In: COH2 Balance |

But they do damage faster, not to mention doing any damage at all as a non-fuel cost unit to a fuel costing unit gets you a nice chunk of veteran. I'm not saying it's on the level of shreks, but it it's there. In: COH2 Balance |
