We already have endless numbers of Shermans and all of them are very similar.
Sherman here, Sherman there... And still Jumbo is not an option for late game.
Let's look how many unit factions have to deal with late game units.
IS2, T34/85, ISU, B4, SU85.
Tiger, Elephant, Panther, Tiger Ace, Pak43.
Panther, Sturmtiger, Jadgpanzer, King Tiger, Jadgtiger, Pak43.
Jackson, Easy Eight and P47
Heavy unit for USF or someother late-game AT stuff is needed.
Well....the Americans used lots of Sherman Variants lol. The Pershing would be fine to be added IMO, but shouldn't be in a commander for the same reasons the KT shouldn't. Everyone would just take that commander and nothing else.
The Jumbo could be a interesting late game call in, maybe price it the same as a KV1? They are essentially the same tank. |
Except I JUST tested Pfuse. I suggest you do the same
They follow and they bug out JUST as much as USF. I.e. if something causes them to duck for cover...no AT nade...if the Model dies mid animation...no AT nade....if Suppression happens to them in the middle of the anmation no at nade. Just like Rifles.
I never said USF's didn't bug out, my point was Fuss's snare isn't reliable so crushing is a big weakness for OKW. |
Youve been playing to the Ober meta too long. Pfuse AT Rnade works just as bad as the USFs. It follows and everything. Fixed at the same time. There is only one good Rnade that isnt buggy and it belongs to Grens.
OKW doesnt USE mines often. Doesnt mean they dont have them and that they arent a reliable snare. They are 30 muni. With that logic they couldnt use Pfausts either. Except they can they just dont. Its like saying Soviets dont have the Kat because its in T4 and no one uses T4.
Well, people use the Kat a lot, and people use Pfausts a lot, but not as many people use the OKW AT mine because people want to spend muni on other things.
and Pfuse AT nades are still bugged, they were supposed to get fixed the same time USF's did but they still don't work nearly as often as USF's do. It doesn't follow out of range, and THATs if you can get the bloody thing to activate.
Regardless Soviets have a shitload of blob counters, the rest of the factions don't. End of story. |
Why not pick the scavenge doctrine if you are muni starved, you know how USF always need P-47 for heavy armors.
It doesn't ALWAYS need, but it makes things like the KT more manageable certainly.
And Scavenge is fine, but still OKW mines are best used late game to surprise the enemy. But they are best for killing vehicles not infantry. |
Pfuse...mines.
Remember in Vanilla Ostheer players would bemoan not having 30 Muni spammable multipurpose mines?
OKW has them...never used...because Shrek.
lol, getting the Panzerfuss AT nade to work is horrible, it doesn't even follow outside the range like the other nades do.
OKW doesn't use mines often because you need to get shreks out, and the mines are still expensive in a muni starved faction (early to mid game). And the larger Allied squads make mine insta wipes less likely.

Longer autofire range, much faster barrage cooldown, better RoF, better accuracy at all ranges.
The LeIG is substantially better, but only because the Pack Howitzer is completely useless.
The only reason I ever take them these days is if I recrew a stolen one and leave the squad at minimum size, for the pack or the LeIG.
IIRC the LeIG was 20/40MP cheaper, but it's been so long since I built one I could well just be wrong about that. They're both trash, is the point, and both substantially worse than the universally cheaper 120mm mortar
The LeIG is worse than the Pack Howitzer in almost ever stat, and the barrage is utter garbage.
Really the Pack Howitzer isn't useless, it just needs to be used at far to close a range to be effective. It has way more infantry wiping ability than the ISG, but that isn't saying much.

Well yes, I think the same health, armor and mobility for both Panzerwerfer and Katyusha as Stuka sounds very reasonable.
You can't really give the Katyusha the same armor because well, it's a bloody truck. But it should be the most long range of all the Rocket Artillery vehicles.
How it should be:
Katyusha = most effective most at medium range, still viable at long
Pwerfer = effective at medium range, easier to use in close (due to better speed/acceleration/health/armor)
Stuka = in between.

They are if people are only playing mods to get access to DLC; now that seems unlikely because mods don't get popular enough.
However if a small group of people who only play each other create a mod for that purpose then relic are losing out.
Losing out on a tiny amount of DLC sales is worth not alienating the entire modding community. This little temper tantrum by Relic about mods is so painfully dumb considering mods are what keep people playing their older games.
If people are violating the ToS through mods then deal with that when it comes up, don't write a blog post that amounts to a giant flaming middle finger to modders. |
Says you
No, says how online DLC content works. You pay for the commanders to use them in automatch, you can also get them randomly via war spoils if you wait long enough.
Relic isn't going to lose DLC sales if people are using DLC commanders in custom games. |
Im almost certain in other threads you have said allied lategame is not "Fine" and abilities that fill weakness's of a vehicles? Uh we already that its called Blitz and we see how thats working.....
USF late game is more micro intensive than any other faction. This is something that can be fixed rather easily through introduction of new units or making the Jackson more reliable against heavy armor while making it less stupid good versus medium armor. |
