Man, you are toxic. On topic, I agree that getting veterancy from incoming fire is a little broken. I like the feature but I think it should be toned down a LOT compared to gaining vet from damaging other units.
You know when it's broken when you have squads jumping from vet 1 - vet 3 as soon as they see some fire...

for both T1 and T2 openings, I go 2 engies.
For T1 - I send the first engie to cap because you want the muni income to flow in. Then I get the 2nd engie to build
For T2 - I build 2 engies, tech then retreat my closer engie and build T2
Soviets
Regardless of what I do with soviets, I build one Engie because Conscripts are actually great. They're much better than the EF mod ones and can definitely fight. Then I use that engie to build and tech or if my engie is engaged, I build another one.

You have the tools, as a soviet, to decide early on which part you want to deny the Axis player. Deny him the fuel.
This would be much easier in COH1. The problem with this here is that strat points give you fuel. So now, you pretty much have to take the whole map before this happens.

Ram is broken. I don't understand how people can even be defending it.
"No AT blah blah" Go to T2 and build a Zis. At the stage it's in now, you don't even have to build anything from T2. Just build the T2 building, Go to T3, and spam T-34. Oh, a Panzer 4? Ram the shit out of it.
You literally do not have to build anything other than Conscripts, Snipers, Guard's and T34's, and you can counter everything.
It's broken, and it needs fixing ASAP. And while they're at it, could they make the scout car useful? And why not give Pgrens the option for MP44's? If COnscripts can get PSK's, Germans should have an option for MP44's

Have, you ever tried using the ZIS? You'll probably realise that when you use it, you'll do too little damage and by then, it will get decrewed and killed. And I'm not talking about penetration either.
I play both Germans and Soviets btw. And I did get a laugh from your last paragraph btw... PGrens already mince Cons already, even with the PPSH upgrade. Hit the dirt? Okay, take that bundle nade then! And the scout car is already useful. There are plenty of things on the Russian side that are less useful than the scout car by the time it comes out anyway... |

The resource system in general is terrible. Strategic points giving fuel + munitions, OPs for extra fuel or munitions, constant manpower income, only a few fuel points to cap per map, fewer cutoffs, no division between low/medium/high resource points... big step backwards from CoH.
That's not too terrible. As with most things for now, all that needs to be fixed is a few numbers and the game may be better.
The capping system's been much simplified, but in a way which I don't mind too much. There are some cutoff points on some maps though eg Oka River.
Maybe if Relic tied popcap into this, it would make for better games. |

Except for the ZIS/SU-85 and IS2/ISU-152, the Russians have literally no reliable way of damaging German armour, especially T4 armour. And the latter 2 are really expensive and at most one would be seen in a 1v1. Of the initial 2, the ZIS doesn't really have any great penetration and the SU-85 is kinda squishy. And it not being turreted doesn't help at all.
So I don't get why ppl have problems with Ram at all. Most of the German armour in the hands of an average player is powerful enough already. If anything, it stops the Germans from rushing Panther to enemy base for win I guess. |
I agree. Once when I was playing Wehr. I mostly invested in infantry because I didn't have the MP for tanks. Ended up floating 600 fuel which I couldn't use...
