Not really.
They buffed guards and guards work more or less fine.
As usual, Relic brand oversight that conscripts get three PTRS and do not have their own version, so they got the buffs too.
All they need to do is add in a conscript_mp_PTRS or whatever that has a lower accuracy. Still hits tanks fine, hits infantry less. Expect in next balance patch.
Partisans get to keep the guard version because they're utterly terrible anyway

Guards should use PTRS like sniper, they are an elite infantry unit that soviets lack. The main issue is conscript blobs, which are cheap and a-move over infantry with support and light vehicles.
However guards could be blobbed, more expensive yes, but theoretically so. The overarching issue is that blobs need a con, maybe they get hit more, take increase flame dmg etc. This would solve problems of OKW blobs, USF blobs, Sov blobs and to a lesser extent OH blobs. |
I think 90% of all OKW players dont use this ability though
I use it! I salvage everything (mortars, AT guns, mgs, etc.) Its really underrated and good if used properly. However it should be addressed with map wrecks as it gives OKW an edge on some maps and nothing on others, making it not an even game. |

Obers are fine now, however I think they should reduce their price a little, perhaps 380mp. If not then atleast reduce their reinforce, they are quite the mp bleed and frankly not worth 400mp without lmg34.
EDIT:
LMG34 did need a nerf though, no idea why they should be able to shoot it on the move. |

The reason blobbing is too effective for OKW is that their infantry is specialised and can do anything, need AT? Get some volks, need AI? Get Fals/JLI/Obers/Fusiliers. Mainly its the volks, they are cheap and are able to get the best handheld AT in the game, perhaps they could get rid of schreck on volks, give them a faust and MP40 upgrade like vcoh. they could move the schreck to a more expensive squad, maybe Obers (a bit weird, I know) or give it to sturms, being more expensive should reduce the amount of schrecks that can be blobbed. |
The third German faction is ridiculous. This must be one of the German allies (Italy, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria) or combination of them.
Perhaps we could meet halfway? My thoughts would be Afrika Korps that has Italian T1 and T2 units, with Germans as elite infantry and Panzer IIIs. Italy would be nice, but I am not sure they could be viable with such limited armour. |
Can't you just state your little opinion without undermining others' IQ? Most of the time when I play as OKW I use infrared soldaten for blob cleansing, so I know how they perform. LMG42 turns Grens turn into unvetted obers.
You guys may want to forget the comparison and focus on the main issue thanks.
Can grenadiers fire their lmgs on the move?
Do grenadiers have bundled grenades?
Do grenadiers get access to smoke, later on?
Obersoldaten are in a different league of performance, Obersoldaten are elite late game infantry, grenadiers are core base infantry. Main issue, grenadiers are ok, they already have a hard enough time with riflemen. |

I think they are referring to new maps that were there for a bit, I saw a Lienne Forest Winter, a Ersch Erc... Something, quite a few. Played an AI on Lienne Forest Winter, it was a nice looking map. |
Vanilla grenadiers are shit anyway. So let's make them more shitty by denying them the lmg42. If you manage to "scall" them in xp, you lost alot of ground annyway by retreating a thousand times untill then because hey, you can't be sure that they will survive to be retreated in the next 3-4 seconds.
So right, Ostheer are way to reliant on munition upgrades to make their units good, perfect example 221 scout car, who uses it? You don't you get the upgrade to mediocre 222. |
