They have STG-44s and Panzerschrecks by default and are really good now. (Also irregulars have been replaced by the AT partisans) While they definitely needed a buff, giving them top of the notch German equipment that even the Germans didn´t have in overwhelming quantities seems a bit silly. I think they would have been better off with the (buffed) Ppsh or even Sten guns. Why they didn´t get camouflage is beyond me. Isn´t that THE unit to attack form an ambush? In: Lobby
Thread: Native Language Option5 Sep 2015, 10:34 AM As a German I have to say I´m all for that option. The German voices for the British are terrible. You can´t fake a Scottish accent in German. "Naughty boys" (or whatever the announcer says in the English version) sounds incredibly stupid in German (ungezogene Bengel). It makes you cringe. In: Lobby

All heavies should have the same range. Don´t act dumb here. That´s a problem of those units. The Tiger as a whole was a liability since it was limited to one unit at a time. It´s no secret it went down way faster than an IS-2. The range increase changes how the unit is going to be used. And that way of usage that´s encouraged is infact realistic and a new strategy. I like some asymmetric balance for the heavies. Tigers could have the range advantage, the IS-2 could have a lower cost and higher damage, Pershing could be something in between. In: Lobby

If the intention was to make it better vs the IS-2 the penetration would have been just fine. The range buff made it better vs everything else which is completely unnecessary. I disagree. The Tiger buff is great. It´s going down within seconds to AT and especially the British. Now there´s a reason again to go for Tigers and instead of mirroring an IS-2, they gave it range. That opens up for some great new playstyles. Also a Tiger that needs to be used at range is quite realistic. I also like that. Improves the immersion of the game. Or to put it into game terms: Having a Tiger firing from far range is more fun and less silly than it always rushing a position to catch targets. TDs still have a range advantage over it, you just have to use them smartly now. Can´t wait to kick some ass with it on veterancy 2 with 20% increased range. In: Lobby
Thread: Brace4 Sep 2015, 12:36 PM Brace is over the top and blatantly overpowered. You assemble the supposed "hardcounters" such as artillery as Axis player. And all the opponent has to do is press one button and is almost immune. This is bad gameplay and horrible design. Brace forces a huge investment for the Axis player into artillery, which then does´t even work. The British player is rewarded for sitting around on one place. One would think Lelic had learned their lesson from Coh1. But alas Cancer-Brits are back. Edit: I wonder whether that shit can survive a railway artillery strike. In: COH2 Balance

A much more useful Panther with the gun of a Tiger as someone said it (Comet) or a beefed up heavy (Churchill), combined with a beefed up Jackson (Firefly) for AT. Why would I even choose to go OKW? To get some tank that is matched by its counterpart, yet costs me effectively 30% fuel more? No thanks. Also taking "target weakpoint" into account, which seems necessary vs Churchills: Pak40 > Raketenwerfer. StuG G > Jagdpanzer IV. We will have to see, but I predict that Ostheer is the way to go. They are not part of your army, they are not supposed to be on the front line and as opposed to emplacements, you lose nothing by building them in your base. Emplacement is a UNIT for brits, it costs popcap and upkeep, it can vet, there needs to be a way to preserve it with stuff like walking stuka or sturmtiger on field. Brace is supposed to protect you from short assaults or quick nukes and it does exactly that, you can't retreat emplacement and inb4 PaK43 argument, you can protect it by placing it behind shot blockers. Ah, and you can´t place mortar emplacements behind shot blockers? In: COH2 Balance
