Obers aren´t supposed to be your standard infantry. The lack of snares or AT weaponry and relatively high cost makes them highly specialized AI infantry. Think of COH2 as a strategy game, different units that serve different purposes and thus have stats according to their purpose. ONLY then comes the WW2 aspect, by giving those units WW2 models & background. Hence Coh2 is a strategy game with a WW2 background. It's not a WW2 simulator. In my opinion the comet is fine. Agreed, but with some limitations: It is inspired by actual events. That means: Panther > T-34, IS-2 > Panzer IV etc. If they broke that line, it would be silly. That being said, I´m a bit irritated that the Comet has so high and the Churchill so low armor values. I guess they made the Comet´s armor so strong so people would actually have a reason to use it next to the Churchill. In: COH2 Balance

No, it was constructed mainly as a breakthrough tank. Further it was constructed from December 1943 onwards. So it wasn´t constructed at all to fight versus the King Tiger (first time fielded during 1944). The reality looks different. The early IS-2 version wasn´t without flaws. It looks good on paper but there are accounts of 7,5cm Paks etc. taking out the early version through the drivers hatch. The ammunition of the IS-2 was seperated and it could only fire in a low succession. At the testing range, the IS-2 hit the a captured German tank three times out of four, with 700 meters. The biggest flaw of the IS-2 actually was poor accuracy resulting from a gun that was too large for the turret. That means to load the gun you have to level it down to its initial stance to then lift it up again. This means time is lost and you have to readjust on the target. While any other tank just aims, over-/ undershoots and can simply level the gun a bit up or down, the IS-2 has to totally adjust itself onto the target again. Totally impracticable to fight. Thread: t34 76 now useless22 Dec 2015, 19:55 PM The biggest problem I see with the T-34/76 is it being locked behind Soviet T4. T4 is pretty unattractive as a whole and comes too late. The T-34 is good to be spammed. But imo it arrives on the field when the opponent already has better tanks. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Pak 43 vs 17 Pounder Population costs.22 Dec 2015, 11:03 AM The Pak43 is fine as it is. The 17 pounder should go down to 10pop as well. 20pop is indeed a bit harsh and restricting. But the 17 pounder (or every emplacement respectively) should also be limited to one on the field at a time then. Sim cities were annoying enough in Coh1. With brace and an adequate popcap this would get even worse. In: COH2 Balance
