Thread: Fury Movie! Tiger vs Sherman4 Dec 2014, 10:32 AM Some people underestimate box armor. The design of the Tiger and Panzer IV was from the 1930ies and sloped armor offered a better protection in general. But the disadvantage could be somewhat corrected by angling the armor yourself. Something every Tiger crew would have learned in basic training (Tigerfibel: Mahlzeitstellung). Most likely the enemy wouldn´t have to penetrate 100mm or 80mm of effective armor on the Tiger but a bit more. Then again one could argue that falls under the category "skilled crews". A picture from the Tigerfibel about the Mahlzeitstellung/ meal-time-position: Red dots indicate the best protection. Another picture form the Tigerfibel: "T-34s aren´t allowed to get into the cloverleaf." Green area: "I will get shot there." Red dots: Mahlzeitstellung. "I can shoot him, he can´t shoot me." Describing the Tiger as a piece of garbage is false imo. A good crew could get the maximum out of it. The design might be outdated, but those negative effects could be overcome by crews. Either not hitting, or bouncing off the Shermans... all at about 500m. In fact of all the Paks in the movie not a single one had an effect. They were decoration. The other disappointment was the Tiger. The scene was awesome. But they advertised the whole movie with a scene that lasted 5 minutes in total. In: COH2 Gameplay

One can be killed by a Panther with ease. The other cannot be killed at all by a Jackson and should be guarded by Grens with Fausts. I am sure that many many more tanks have been killed by Pak guns since WFA then by Jacksons. If you cant use the Pak with its 100% Pen and better than Jackson DPS I dont know what to tell you. Face the pointy end at the tank I know how to use them... I´m rank 1 in 2v2 autoteam with Ostheer. Paks have failed me often... too often. They get off one shot and that´s it. Schrecks didn´t disappoint me however. In: COH2 Balance

You do realize that the Pak gun is still better in every way to the Jackson right? 1) I know what I´m talking about. I´m serious. 2) Pak and Jackson are different... one is a vehicle, the other one an AT gun. I´m confident even you know that. if you want to compare them (which really stretches it) I have to see a Pak driving off at the speed of a Jackson until I believe your statement. 3) Paks haven´t proven effective since the latest patch. I hardly use them. better invest in Schrecks. It´s ridiculous how people want Schrecks nerfed now. Sounds more to me like Ostheer isn´t allowed to have anti tank at all. In: COH2 Balance

Since the big patch infantry squads bunch up and get easily oneshot by tanks, which makes them also highly risky to use. Suddenly a Schreck-nerf is "needed". I suggest you to play some games as Ostheer and see how a Greyhound canister shots your army and drives away. In: COH2 Balance

I assume it´s not forbidden in any country that is a significant market. Germans are pretty sensitive about the Third Reich for obvious reasons; that´s the dirt stain in hour history. I bet a significant amount of people here doesn´t even know what the NKVD was contrary to the SS. Eastern Europeans might be offended about the NKVD, but I don´t know about the problems there mentioning them in games. In: Lobby

Nope, just guys driving up with them to close range into the Tiger. Fire 6 shots while driving faster than the Tigers turret rotation, Tiger down, drive off again. Take a Pak hit (it´s shit now) and get away unharmed. Keeping Tigers at range is also not an option. You lack 10 (vet 2+) - 20 (Vet 0 - 1) range to fight them. The last thing those things need is a penetration increase. If they tuned down the dmg to 160, I´d agree. In: Lobby

That picture shows that it existed... but still it´s so uncommon and formal that it sounds stupid. Probably like "Gesichtserker" aka "face-oriel" for "Nase" aka "Nose". Nobody uses that shit. Thread: Remember when21 Nov 2014, 11:53 AM I remember times where the Tiger wasn´t a glass cannon. It got an armor increase at vet 2 and had more health. Nowadays it´s going down with 5 hits from a Jackson. I should start a thread about it. It´s the only "Heavy" tank that goes down within seconds. Sure, it devastates infantry, but the Tiger as a glass cannon is quite strange. In: COH2 Gameplay
