Thread: SU76 - Free Barrage25 Aug 2015, 08:19 AM For free this barrage is nonsense... Right now SU76 is more cost-effective than SU85... almost everyone use it in numbers. Against OKW you can just get rid of HQs with this barrage easily. Im not saying the barrage is OP, but being free for the cheapest TD is too much... its like StuG3 TWP for free on vet0. Or more like a HE round for StuG that change it into a brummbar for free... Who would use P4s? In: COH2 Balance

Units that are wiping all the time are KT, TA, ISU, KV2, Bulldozer. But those units can wipe with every shot. M8 need to pay 50ammo and still you don't have 100% chance to wipe (you are acting like every shot = wipe). What's more, did you hear about Puma? Becasue Puma can counter M8. Oh.. but I forget... Calling Puma will ruin OKW meta Volks->Obers->Panther Or even raketen... 2 raketens in building can do the job really well. And Ost should get 222 to counter it (with upgrade) but first Relic must rework this unit because it's useless. Its not about the counters. Everyone knows how to counter an M8. Its about the ability is too much in early game. 50 ammo ability and 100% chance to wipe out any soldier in its target area. I dont care if Puma counters it or not. My problem is this racing car randomly drives in the field and bites out full sized squads from my infantry. Its like you pay 50 ammo and just erase an infantry squad whenever you want. Garanteed. Improving damage on the other hand would make it effective against light armor, which only makes sense considering its 37mm gun of stuart. I would love this thing to perform consistently instead of being "use ability, park in your base for the cooldown" unit, because with its current gun and MG performance, its T1 sturmtiger and nothing more. This ability is too much for early game. Not to mention how frustrating is it, to randomly lose infantry because against its hit and run canister shots. Balance the base stats of the unit if you think its needed, but honestly, the thing just killed 5 men in a building with a single shot! I think this ability should be fixed. Its AoE should be reduced, and its damage too. Meanwhile M8s main gun damage could be reviewed too. In: COH2 Balance

I guess it's a matter of skill levels on the same way i say OKW is easier to play but not neccesarily better. I'm "afraid" whenever i see either no tech (con spam) or T1 openings than T2. The reason is simple: you ever lose map control with maxim spam and you won't recover it. And to do that is as simple as hugging green cover, houses, flanking, scouting/crashing with SwS. There are two early tactic against OKW (with soviets): 1. maxim spam + zis (and maybe a mortar) 2. clowncar and flames Clowncar is not so viable, but maxim spam can be especially when key areas surrounded with strong buildings. LeIG is overpriced... OKW can go for stuka but thats expensive, or for FlakHT, which is great, but if soviets got a ZiS it can go down easily. And who needs an 50FU drawback with OKW. Anyway, yes, if the maxim spam fails to hold the area, its very unlikely to get it back with maxims. And i never destroy houses with SWS, thats just lame imo. I think LeIG should be looked at.
