Thread: USF Bazooka thoughts?17 Sep 2015, 09:36 AM I think zooks are fine for 50MU. Also Relic decided to decrease its price, instead of buffing the weapon itself. I dont think it fits into USF design to run with powerfull bazookas. Also UKF and the heavy limit indeed made axis players rely more on cheaper medium tanks like stug and P4 instead of Tigers. These things were kinda indirect buff to bazookas. In: COH2 Balance

Its extremely old strat that only got more valid with the aura changes. Command tank ensures your squads won't be one shotted by nades or mortars, your infantry can fend off opponents more easily, your AT guns aren't decrewed easily unless directly hit by some big guns. So no, it does make perfect sense to get command tank as first armor and it was perfectly valid since forever. Okay, you can get it for first unit, but still its 8CP, and fights as an Ostwind. I dont think its hard to be handled because of the self-boost or the doctrinal nature. Im not sure a PAK wall + CmdP4 is a viable tactic. Maybe in late game, yes, when you got your protection against enemy infantry too, but in early or mid game, almost 1000MP investment on pure AT is a bit too much for me to be viable... Still, my question is: Is the Command Panzer4 really broken? and if you think it is, then why?! Because its not locked behind tier?! or because of the +1 shot it can take against 160 damage vehicles? The extra durability make it useful as meatshield for paks/schrecks, in addition to directly boosting their durability. It is good against light vehicles and infantry, yes. But is it OP because of that? I dont think so. Its not harder to deal with than an Ostwind, and 8 CP is around T3 anyway. I dont think its broken because of this. In: COH2 Balance

So whats the point locking it behind teching? The tank cannot fight with other tanks. No one will pull a command panzer as their first vehicle. In practice you choose T3 or T4, build a normal tank, THEN call in a P4 to receive aura boost. In: COH2 Balance

Some think its OP, because its aura buff on itself, that allows the tank to survive +1 extra shot. Thank god it cannot detect mines too... what could we do against it then?! In: COH2 Balance

So far the only change i remember is its territory HP buff got changed to an Aura version. I dont remember any damage or penetration buff. Have i missed something? I doubt it could go toe-to-toe against any medium tank... Also, as far as i know, the command tanks buff aura never effects the tanks itself. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: how do you counter scavenge doctrine26 Aug 2015, 07:40 AM Thorough salvage is useful only if you feed your opponent with vehicle wrecks. Jaegers are jokes. They cant fight against anything alone. You can mix them with your main infantry for the random snipe kills, but they are also inaccurate as hell. The opportunity cost you pay for the on-field spawning is a waste of resource imo. This unit should not spawn in buildings, and its price should reflect it. Nades are a bit cheap, but not a game changer. Ostwinds neither... maybe those should be buildable after 8 CP from the flak-truck I dont think you understand the meaning of resource conversion.
