Thread: Bugreport- Commander Update June 202119 Jun 2021, 12:16 PM Occurred once, haven't reproduced it since: Sov Airborne Guards (Terror Tactics Commander) upgraded with the double DPs (100 muni I think?) were able to be upgraded with yet another DP for 40 munitions on the button where usually the smg upgrade lies. That was super weird? It had the DP icon as well. It looked so intentional but I could not find anything about it in the patch notes and couldnt reproduce it in a bot game... This is a low effort wiping machine as well, maybe now you get what a lot of people here were talking about. Thread: Winrates indicate horrible balance15 Jun 2021, 06:26 AM I think, to balance both 1v1 and team games, you need to be able to make changes/restrictions in the respective domain only. If it's not possible to e.g. limit certain units in certain game modes, I dont think we will come a lot closer to balance in team games without hurting 1v1. This is just too big of an optimization problem. The only exception would be a rework of most of the 4v4 maps I guess. In: COH2 Balance

You would have never guessed how the war was going if you only looked at this game, where the axis where spamming more and more panthers and tigers the second they were destroyed. Thread: Winrates indicate horrible balance14 Jun 2021, 07:54 AM Is it set in stone that balance is not simultaniously possible in medium ranks / top 200 and or 1v1 / team games? I too think that one big balance problem for 3v3 and 4v4 is the nature of the maps (lane-like) and the quick access to MGs for axis. You can simply spam MGs and sit on the fuel for the beginning phase of the game, force the opponent into mortars (until then they can only wait and do nothing, flanking sometimes is virtually impossible, for example on Over the Rhine). Then run them over with a 222. An easy fix for this would be to limit MGs (for everyone obviously) on 1 per player, at least on 4v4. Then observe how it works on iterate forwards from that. I do think we have an idea what the problems are, so why not tackle them explicitly? Balancing only for top200 is a dangerous thing. If you make half the playerbase tilt out because of imbalance, axis players wont find matches anymore, the playerbase will decrease quickly and nobody will watch casts or tournaments from the top200. I am sure you can still find some axis players jerking to their Endsieg then, but overall it would be a very sad downfall. It HAS to be tried over and over again to balance the game for the broad mass! In: COH2 Balance

That's probably his point, I actually liked that too as you can play with more variety back then now just textbook build for every faction >main infantry some support weapon into lv and med tank rush/skip lv to med tank You dont have to do that, but in almost every game there are optimised strategies. If you are not in the top few hundred ranks though, you can win with anything + excellent basics and micro. In: COH2 Balance
