No g43 are really good and don't even think about making them non doctrinal. Have you seen what pgrenz do vs cons when they got g43 and shreks?
I totally agree with you, but you didn't get the point. YOu said "it should be doctrinal" but it already is. Or in fact you wanted to imply it should stay that way and I didn't understand that. |
G43 rape, it really should be doctrinal.
But it is... you mean lmg42? |
The real blob counter are the HMGs. I mean they should be. A hmg must have a quite quick supress time and it actually needs to kill models from time to time. Remember mg42 from vcoh? Now that's how a hmg it's supposed to work. No matter the faction, greater or smaller fire con, etc, but they need to mean something. |
Vanilla grens can't do anything to stop enemy from closing, and thats why its long range style doesn't work.
And why would anyone think that HMG 42 can? Its performance it's just ridiculous, even USF HMG supresses faster....
Gren spam with a sdkfz following them it's a more solid tactics and recomended for the actual state of the game, but this ain't working so good on maps with buildings ...that are filled with all kind of hmgs... Of course you can build t1 mortars that are quite competent but this will affect your gren spam. Because you really have to spam them hard. |
It also connects the sector it is parked on, preventing cutoffs.
Prevents cutoffs? And how does this work? It means if I have 2 sectors linked through another and I place my truck on this one the other 2 sectors won't be separated if the enemy decaps it?? ...Or..? |
Actualy, what you propose is OKW being even more powerfull, have the same tanks but for less fuel, all infantry becoming crack troops with stgs and, in addition, have artilerry too, and non-doctrinal. You love OKW verry much, I can say that, but imagine you have to confront one army built as you described. You will consider it OP in one split of a sec. In addition, howitzers attached to buildings (??) and so many options and doctrine changes that my head hurts.
In other words, your army is a total mess and I don't like your changes at all. |
There is also no SIDE ARMOR in CoH2, keep that in mind.
|
I disagree. Having 66% munition back then could cost you a game if you were unlucky and lost your only Shrek early game, Kubel was bad, then was over buffed and then it was nerfed again but never to it's original stage. Today's Kubel is a much better unit then its first iteration. These days you can easily sustain using only Volks as your AT back then you had to use Pumas, Rocketens and mines to be able to survive early game. On the other hand Vet5 Puma was a pleasure to play with.
Yes but still a more balanced OKW could use a 66% fuel income again, with a raketen buff and a mine cost decrease. This will not tone down OKW early game power but will increase the difficulty of micro, will encourage combined arms concept and will favor some strategic thinking. Fact is even like that, the game searches percentage will still greatly favor axis. |
And still a way better penetration than 57mm. Raketens are amazing. And even if enemy is getting close, you can retreat and save the crew. On maps with buildings it can do wonders.
Used it many times, in buildings and outside buildings and I still prefere any other AT gun instead. Really. Except for that little russian shit from urban defense tactics. So yeah, there is worst... |
id take the reketen over the 57mm every day
Comes at t0
gets increased cone and rate of fire in buildings.
Also can retreat.
I wouldn't. 57mm it's an AT gun. Raketen it's a mockery. |
