OKW is dumbest faction ever created with shitest design and any changes won't fix them unless completly remade. You removed pazerschreks from volks and give them stg's instead? Fine. Be prepared for 6 volks strat with double/triple pupchen support + Puma/Luchs. What's the point getting additional sturmpio or elite infantry like expensive Obers or Falls if you have cheap, basic infantry with powerful AI upgrade? They could receive somehow buffed MP40's but not StG's. Anyway, RiP Heal building. LeIG isn't real reason to go for it. HT is dead if you have doctrinal MG-42 and nondoctrinal MG-34. And I would like to ask you Miragefla, why you decided to put MG-42 instead? Imo Kubelwagen would be much better instead. And I could point out it more but I don't see the reason for it. To sum up, OKW need rework, not only changing units stats. I would like to see if they back to his old resource system but it's not balance sugestion but my personal wish.

There isn't really much reason to build battlegroup now when most of the time you will need to go mechanised for Puma. Faust + raketen just isn't going to cut it for map control. |
What reason does anyone have to play OKW now? Why would anyone play OKW when Wehr is better in pretty much every way except Pioneers? |

The panzerschreck is twice as good as bazookas, it's not a fair comparison to say USF can get out twice the number of AT weapons when theirs are half as effective.
At a squad level, there are clear dps drawbacks to the bazooka. You cannot deny this. Saying you can make other rifle squads and give them mgs is true, but why can't OKW do the same thing? Stop blobbing only volks and expecting to beat an army of better units. Rifles are more expensive and better than volks, get some elite infantry ffs. Get some obers, falls, panzerfusilliers, or jaegers.
Yes, I do think that giving volks a choice between a panzerschreck and another upgrade would be an improvement. The problem is that nobody is going to bother to upgrade with anything besides schrecks unless the other upgrade is equally as powerful, which would be unjustifiable on a squad as cheap as volks.
I didn't ignore what you said, I feel the intricacies of squad DPS is irrelevant when you look at the bigger picture as I said. Panzerschreck is not twice as good as Bazooka. Ratio of Panzerschrek to Bazooka is like 2:3. 180 munitions vs 150 munitions.
I didn't deny the drawbacks, what I'm saying is that USF has plenty of options to overcome them and they still get something in return, compared to OKW who has one benefit or destroyed faction because the upgrade is so important. Rifles at vet 3 with LMGs can easily stand up to and beat any of those units you mentioned, despite being cheaper than all of them.
Volks is 30 MP cheaper than Rifles. No reason why price can't be increased and given an upgrade to make a choice. |
Many posts made me laugh, ppl playing a WW2 based game and didn't know that the rear of a tank are supposed to be vulnerable ? Especially this game have no side armor or slower reversing speed implemented, that's the biggest weakness of heavy tanks, relic already made heavies noob-proof, and ppl are still crying about rear amor nerfs even when it's for both sides....
KT in real life has 2x more armor in rear than T-34 front armor. |

How is it? Panther cost a lot, agree. But it has more, than any other medium stock tank. Armor of heavy tank, main gun, which penetrates almost everything from all ranges, 3 MGs in hull and 1 on turret - bulletstorm, nice speed and accseleration...
And same goes for all other axis tanks. They are well balanced for their price. They cost a lot - they preform a lot.
You said they are overpriced but they perform good for their price. That is an oxymoron; contradictory. If something is overpriced it does not perform good for its price. If something performs good for its price it is not overpriced. |
Guys, I've got a question to those with more knowledge about the game as me (I'm still far from talking balance!)!
US Forces and Soviets received mainly buffs in this mod or future patch right? And except for price decreases for Wehr tiers there will be no buffs for Axis units if I understood everything correctly (which is probably not the case). Wouldn't that mean Allies become a lot stronger than Axis? I felt that everything was quite even atm.
Note please: I seek to get a real explanation if possible.
You are pretty much correct, there are couple of other buffs for Wehr being Pios can make sandbags and Flame HT is buffed but aside from that yes.
You are also correct on allies being a lot stronger, this patch is very one sided and OKW is pretty much being nerfed out of the game. OKW has essentially been turned into an inferior Wehrmacht. |
