Thread: Beta performance24 Oct 2014, 05:37 AM For me, beta version has a lot better performance than live. I hope this really carries over to the live version. Beta feels so smooth, pretty. That being said, Coh2 was never optimized to begin with. The game barely uses the hardware its running on compared to other games. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Biggest Flaw In Coh222 Aug 2014, 10:49 AM The two biggest flaws as I see it: 1. The spamfest. As soviets, spam conscripts + one unit of shocks or guards. Spam maxims. ZZZzzzzz. 2. I miss the old doctrine trees from Coh1. Someone suggested in another thread that commanders should work more like the doctrine trees in Coh1 where one can choose a path to go down and u have a set amount points that you can use. Thread: Bugs I've noticed.21 Aug 2014, 09:59 AM I'm back with two other bugs, I don't know whether they are new or if they have been reported before. 1. When you have airborne upgraded with the LMG upgrade and you use their ability called cover fire that slows down enemy units, you are unable to retreat for as long as the ability is active. I had this happen to me several times yesterday, will see today if I can reproduce the bug. Can anyone else test this? 2. Every now and then when I order a unit to throw a grenade, the ability will highlight as it does when being active, then it just stays active for several seconds, no grenade is thrown, ammo is deducted from your ammo stash, you end up with the cooldown. Anyone else experience this? (Grenade bug thing seems to happen slightly more often to Panzer Fusiliers and Airborne from my experience.) Cheers In: COH2 Bugs

I agree the USF HT is better in every way. But my point was that the OKW HT isn't bad, its quite good in my opinion, but it is outclassed by the USF HT. Now, there's two ways to go about it. Either buff the OKW HT and we get roaming terminator machines that are likely to dominate early game, or we can adjust the USF HT down a bit so that they are on a more similar level. Main reason that I don't like the USF HT is that I've seen it shoot at and kill a Puma in one burst (Expert AI, don't know if that has any bearing). OKW HT is great versus infantry but is totally impotent against anything armored, the USF HT is good at both, no setup time, great mobility, survives three hits. Like I said in my first post, the OKW HT is fine, the USF HT isn't. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Please give the Flak HT some love16 Aug 2014, 09:29 AM I think the Flak HT is fine as it is. It has nice range, it just needs spotters to spot for it. The US HT on the other hand is still over the top in my humble opinion. OKW HT has nice crowd control, good damage, decent range, but comes with the drawbacks of the setup time and being squishy. The US HT is pretty much the same, but can penetrate vehicles easier without any drawbacks. TLDR: My opinion, OKW HT is fine, US HT isn't. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Game Freeze Followed by Fast Forward7 Aug 2014, 16:51 PM I just want to ask if someone has been experiencing short, temporary freezes but NOT followed by fast forwards? Happens in both online and offline modes. Could it be related to graphics settings? Even though one sits on a monster of a machine? In: COH2 Bugs

The tooltip is wrong, the stg is best used short-mid range and does way more damage than the lmg34 at close range That would explain the difference in performance. Thread: IR STGs or lmg34?6 Aug 2014, 12:03 PM I believe the tooltip for the upgrade states its a long range weapon, as such I don't think you're supposed to close in with the unit, which you normally don't do with unupgraded Obers. I believe the only merit of the upgrade is to negate cover. Having said that, whenever I build two obers and upgrade one of them, the squad with the LMG34 is usually outperforming the upgraded unit with a 2-1 ratio. In: COH2 Gameplay

Sturmpios deal far more damage at mid range. AEs deal next to no damage until you are nearly point blank. Yeah I've been playing a lot with AE's since this thread started and so far they seem a bit random. If one can close the gap then they perform well, but many times they get cut down closing the distance. Maybe they could use a slight durability buff such as modified accuracy received modifier or something. In: COH2 Balance
