allies need a complete faction redesign so they are more fun to play. spamming maxims or snipers and relying on call in infantry might be balanced but it sure is no fun. Maybe even make t3 and t4 both accessible I completely agree Sarantini! USF getting a nondoc Pershing will probably never happen because Relic and Sega need that $$$ from commander-specific units In: COH2 Gameplay |

I am glad people have the same observations as me regarding Allies and Axis in team games. It is either win fast or face impending loss. Another problem I see is that OKW and Ost can choose to attack or defend. They have good enough units where they can be flexible in offense and defense. However, Allies have no heavy emplacements suited for a defense. Allies just focus on attacking the enemy. Once heavy Axis tanks roll out, the "attack only" strategy of Allies just evaporates to the strong armor and damage of Axis heavies. In my experience with team games (I play them exclusively), Allies usually have a good map advantage during the early and midgame (probably 60 percent). If you haven't crushed the Axis by then or made one rage, it is going to be a pain in the ass to deal with Panthers, KT, Jagdtigers, etc. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Previous to button nerf Guards were already meh. 1. really expensive call-in infantry 2. DPs necessary to compete but very expensive 3. They DROP their weapons a lot which is ridiculous 4. Can't compete with other Axis infantry above T0 let alone elite units 5. PTRS + DPs = jack of all trades unit with no real saving grace but button In: COH2 Balance |

Heartless comparing conscripts to falls, obers, and JLI is like calling for volks to be buffed because shocks arrive at 2 cp. Your comment about 8 minute obers is just unreasonable. Please show me a replay where your doing that because in all reality it takes around 10 minutes to get T4 up, and besdies, you would have been better off rushing a luchs anyway. i understand your concern about making conscripts equal to grens. There was a big thread by Arclyte talking about conscripts that featured a lot of thoughts by other members. I think everyone was in agreement that cons shouldn't be exactly like grens. Everyone wanted some kind of late game buff that helped them out a bit. and no, merge, at nade, and molotov are not tools that help cons scale into late game. they drastically lose effectiveness because of the appearance of heavy armor and high dps units. Cons will simply just bleed in attempting to do these abilities In: COH2 Balance |

Thank you for this video that talks about the changes to conscripts. They stated that they added the received accuracy nerf to force conscripts to be in cover, This is idiotic because conscripts died fast prepatch regardless if they were in cover or not In: COH2 Balance |

Some of your points are silly... True, there were horrendous Soviet casualties on the Eastern Front, but many of the worst losses these happened during 1941-1942 when the USSR was in a desperate position/unprepared/overconfident sometimes. The Ussr did wisen up after Stalingrad on preservation of their forces/adapting to the conditions. Saying that the USSR did not care about veterancy is plain wrong. Look at the Guards Armies. Divisions and armies that fought hard or accomplished much were given "guards" status. Some of these armies were used to lead an assault, defend a crucial sector, or to launch a counterattack. Saying that the Ussr simply outnumbered and overwhelmed the Axis does not give credit to the Soviet soldier or to their generals. They conducted many brilliant operations such as Bagration, Kursk, Stalingrad, etc. I will stop here to avoid derailing haha In: COH2 Balance |

Going back to the core concepts of conscripts is they are cannon fodder who through sheer numbers get that Molotov or at grenade off or through slow attrition defeat the superior german infantry so this change is emphasising this. Looking at the stat changes it appears they can do a bit more damage in range meaning also that in defensive positions they may also perform a bit better. Sounds great in theory but fails in the game (unless you go PPSH-cons Advanced Warfare, but seems like a niche tactic. Objectively, it looks like Cons can just oorah in and do a lot of stuff like AT Nade or Molotov. However, Molotov is one of the slowest animations in the game. Performing it in the late game is just asking for half of the squad getting wiped. At nade also fails to pen medium tnaks and up. Right now, they are just too squishy and/or lack the damage to be effective frontline infantry. Using them en masse to bleed the Axis is actually detrimental; they are very squishy, so they actually hurt your upkeep and manpower even harder than they hurt the Germans!!! In: COH2 Balance |
