Omg not this again. It was nerfed once and that was enough.
Please expand on this comment - which nerf are you refering to, and why do you believe it is in an acceptable state?
If you used that logic for everything relic has nerfed before we would not be playing this game.. |
It did used to work, the attack command would make the bot horde that area |
I play mostly all 4 factions daily (usually 2v2+) and I've been on the fence in terms of balance for quite some time since I believed each factions had their issues.
However, one unit which to me is just utterly stupid is the Stuka. I have no issues with any other artillery in the game and believe they all have their pros/cons.. static arty = offmap bait etc.
This unit pretty much guarantees entire destruction to anything in its path with a simple click and selection of what you want to annihilate with no risk what-so-ever since you can just drive off. It should not have a free 'nuclear precision strike' which the soviets have to pay for which does nothing of comparable damage. It also nullifies buildings which is just ridiculous.
People say 'don't blob' but that's not the issue, even if you have 3 weapon teams fairly distant from each other, but within range (which is quite large) of its end-to-end barrage, the rules of 2D math guarantee that at-least 2 of these will lie on a vector which means they will be destroyed.. and its not just de-crewed, they usually destroy the entire weapon.
I would like to see this unit at-least be given SOME scatter or cost munitions.. they could even greatly increase if fire time (e.g the rockets take longer to land) because at the moment you really don't have time to move your units.. its not good design that an 8 minute mobile dread-naught can nullify buildings and weapon teams from the get-go.. at-least make it a veteran ability to reward using it. |
another patch another game killing bug gg cya in 2 months when patch hits |
Yes, of course.
This exists already, and it has for a long time.
Well hey I'm still here.
But its unused for most patches.. |
No doubt it will follow a similar path to the other patches this year, they will double a few numbers on the US faction, divide by 2 a few numbers on the OKW stats, and then release live only to follow with a hot-fix which reverts every change the next week |
It's as OP as the units its used to kill. |
Browsed this forum for over a year but only decided to make an account recently;
Does anyone actually have any hope left for Relic's balancing?
I like to think of myself a neutral kinda guy, I've been through Coh1 since its birth and saw some strange balance decisions but with CoH2 over the last few months its just been wierd.. best example being the katyusha. Yeah it was slightly under-performing but rather than slightly increasing its damage or lowering scatter, Relic literally just doubled each number they saw and committed it to the build.
Did they not even test it? This has been happening for a while now... katyusha, assault engineers, kubel etc.. constant patches only to revert the change and double some other numbers.. not to mention breaking new things each patch (MG retreat bug this patch which is borderline catastrophic).. they seem completely incompetent nowadays when you compare them to other industry balance teams.
The most healthy thing for the game right now would be to create a private test build for selected players of the community to TEST a patch/get feedback before they release it live.. (This apparently exists but is obviously mishandled and unused)
I have seen countless great players who I used to follow depart the game, along with avid posters on this forum who I enjoyed seeing their posts... a number still remain (Katitof, BartonPL etc) but it is getting to a stage where I am very worried.
What does everyone else think? Are your hopes high for this next 'patch' or are you worried? |
It is very overperforming, but very easy counterable.
But if you don't get the exactly single hard counter of P47, you are fucked.
One more retardness of Relic balance design.
Sounds almost like the Jadgtiger? |
Although your title doesn't specify, you seem to be on the topic of ostheer so I am slightly worried as to why you left out the primary and most obvious answer to your question which is the panzerwerfer? It may not be the most powerful tool for this but it does its job.
10.5cm and even the priest are not good tools for blob control since blobs can move swiftly, especially if under the control of a good player. Where-as the panzerwerfer if close to your lines, can fire-and-land barrages extremely quickly and can make a US player lose alot of infantry or panic retreat. |
